Unfortunately not, the UKVI IELTS is only for UK. For all Canadian immigration purposes you need to take IELTS General Training
On the ircc website it shows a 31 month waiting period for the process, is it same for candidates who've completed 12 months work experience in Canada and apply for PR!

Hello, unfortunately no, IELTS is only valid for 2 years and after that you have to retake it.

Hey, according to the rules of the Home Support Work Pilot program, if your application is approved, you will receive an occupation-restricted open work permit (OROWP).

1. Gaining Experience
2. Direct to PR
If you manage to get a genuine job offer in the NOC 4412 under NOC 2016, or NOC 44101 under NOC 2021 you'll likely qualify to apply under the first category - Gaining Experience.

Hello, by sponsor do you mean employ? If so, considering that there is a genuine need and they have substantial funds to afford it, there are no legal restrictions to do so.

There is no pilot currently for personal support workers, just Home Support Workers and Home Child Care Providers. To get a job from overseas people generally reach out to the communities, churches, family and friends in Canada.

Job Offer:
1. Made using IMM 5983
2. Is Genuine and valid at time of issuance of WP
3. Outside Quebec
4. Was made by a single Canadian employer that is not a business (this means a private individual or family seeking to fill their in-home care needs) - It cannot be an embassy, high commission or consulate (UPDATE: The work needs to be done in a private home (not in an institutional setting, such as daycare or retirement home.)
5. Non-Seasonal and Full-time (30 hours per week)
6. Ability to perform Work: Verified by relevant education and work experience outside of Canada

What if the employer is NGO but we are still working in individuals home.
From the program rules:
An employer in Canada that is not a business, an embassy, a high commission or a consulate:

Section 10 of IRPR is/are missing or incomplete. Your application fees, for both your permanent
resident application and work permit application under this program were not processed and are also

members in this application, these application fees will also be returned to you"

Hello, I think you might've misunderstood the information a bit. First of all, the Home Child Care Provider Pilot gaining experience has reached its cap at the moment and is not planned to reopen. But even if it reopens, to apply for the gaining experience category, you need to have a full-time and permanent employment offer from a person willing to hire you in Canada.

I am supposed to show either 1 year or 2 years work experience for my or.
Currently, I am working 60 hours monthly with my employer and I got another employer but as an independent contractor.
My question is, working as an independent contractor with T4A etc. will IRRC accept my self employment as proof of gaining experience.
Right now, recently I get my 1 year PGWP. How much time it will take to get the PR? If I work to my employer from today?

Hello Arun! It's not an easy question to answer not knowing your background. If you're in Ontario, generally the best practice is to apply after you get 1 year of eligible skilled work experience under Canadian Experience Class.

Standard processing time for these categories are one year..so, why they are taking too much time for visa more than 2 years . applicants loose hope..

Hey! This Pilot program is scheduled to be closed in June 2024, so you won't be able to apply after unless the program is renewed (we don't have any info to support that currently). Unfortunately, the gaining experience category for this year has already reached the cap, so you can't apply for that either. I would recommend you look into other immigration pathways, like PNPs. Hello, you would need to find a job first, which is usually done either through church, family, or your other personal connections. Unfortunately, the program closes in two weeks, so you probably won't have enough time.
My wife is graduating this year and will apply for PGWP soon. She will try to work and get experience as a full-time Child Caregiver.
My question is.
Will the IRCC consider her work experience as a Child Caregiver which she gained under an Open Work Permit (PGWP) or the employer must be on LMIA so that her work experience is considered by IRCC when she applied through the Child Care Provider in case the program opens again.

Hello, the Home Child Care Provider Pilot is now closed as the cap was reached. But to answer your question the work experience gained while working on PGWP is valid for any available immigration programs.
