I think it was not just about musical taste, but also about the story of TIX. I also think many young people wanted to make a statement to the musical and social elites who have thrashed TIX for years. TIX seems like a terrific guy, but his song is fairly average.

100% and I have nothing against him as a person or artist at all. I just feel like Europe was waiting for Norway to send keiino to get revenge from 2019, and then they compete with Monument which is even better then spirit in the sky, better produced, written, they have better chemistry, basically everything is there, they were ready to take Europe and then Norway has decided that they don’t want to win esc. The thing is, Norwegians don’t think that far, they vote for as you said; the person, his fans really did go to work today. It’s just all so sad and I’ll be upset for a while 🙈😭

But, TIX is incredibly popular with the esc crowd. He is now known as one of the most wholesome people to attend eurovision and his message was also extremely important.
It didn't matter in the competition, but it did matter with the people.

A phenomenal performance, a masterpiece of a song, and an absolutely stupid move on the Norwegian voters, I doubt Norway will even make it to Finals in Eurovision now. This was the best entry. I’m heartbroken for KEiiNO, and for all the viewers who won’t get to experience them at Eurovision where they derserved to showcase this amazing song. Poor form Norway.

Like, imagine having these three amazing, talented people who represent perfectly not only your country but also everything Eurovision stands for, with a literal monument of a song and a performance that would have blown the stage through the roof in Rotterdam, who have an incredible chemistry between them, are loved all throughout more than one continent, and actively WANT to go and try to win Eurovision for you...and you just refuse them. Like that. This song will never be on a Eurovision stage. We will see things that are 100 times cheaper and blander, but not this. Not this, that could have risked winning. Life is so damn unfair sometimes.
In hindsight, maybe this was shaping up to be too strong of a contest, and your destiny is to come back in a year when you guys can be in the spotlight for real.
Because the only way I have to stay sane after this is to hope, deep in my heart, that you three will never leave each other's side and will, one day, try again to reach your dream to win Eurovision.

@@baddie3599 The english translation of the song is kinda generic indeed, but the Norwegian version is about mental health and the fight between falling into darkness or stepping into the light, suicide depression etc. And that is why its kinda sad that the song got generic translated into english in the final.

This was the first time a saw an act that was doing better then the first time of participating. This could win the whole Eurovision. He is not only the most streamed artist in Norway with 11 songs in the charts (6 of them as #1) but he is also an international songwriter and has written hits like «Sweet but psycho» with Ava Max which was a big hit in the UK and has collaborated with artists in LA (Flo Rida fex),

@@Suspended4thYT they in fact would of. They scored the highest ever recorded points in the second chance contest by a long bit, and when converted to ESC points, keiino scored 593 points. Maneskin only scored 524. So not only would keiino have won, but by a sizable margin
@@EclipseHighroller LOL - it doesn't work like that. You are comparing two different things. In the Second Chance contest, they were not competing against Maneskin. Fans voted for Keiino ahead of other RUNNERS-UP from national selections. If Maneskin was in the voting mix, some of those points would have went to Maneskin and not Keiino.
Also .... only ESC fans vote in the second chance contest - the millions of average, once a year viewers, DO NOT!
Listen, I love Keiino. I loved Monument. Norway completely screwed up by sending Tix (proven by the final points breakdown - especially in the semi), however we don't need to grasp at straws. Maneskin were always winning.

Woke up this morning in Australia hoping for the best, now I'm just sad and confused. :( This song is an absolute bop and you guys nailed the performance. There have been so many great songs confirmed for Eurovision 2021, I was pretty confident it would have been musically the best year ever with KEIINO in the lineup. I'm just a little bit confused by the winner who I'd not considered to be competition.

@@Linge88 I've since heard that about TIX, which explains a lot! He seems like a lovely guy, and he sings well. The song is a bit dated but it's ok (the Norwegian version is better though!). But I had personally thought that it wasn't a serious contender because it wasn't as strong as other songs that night. 😅 I thought for sure that KEIINO would fight it out with Raylee or Blasmafian, so TIX winning was a huge surprise to me before I knew he was super popular in Norway. 😅
I'm from Spain and I can assure with all my heart and soul that if they had gone to Eurovision with this song they would have won the festival. It's hands down better than all the Eurovision 2021 finalist songs. I discovered this song recently and found out they came in 2nd place and I'm totally disappointed and saddened. Falling Angel is a nice song, but it is not a song to win. This song is so much better, it's perfect and catchy, it's impossible to get it out of your head. I wake up and the first thing on my mind is this song. KEiiNO deserved to go... (sorry for my English)

I immediately loved TIX -Fallen Angel in the Semi-finals, but when reading through some comments I noticed a lot of people that were heartbroken because a group called 'KEiiNO' didn't make it to the ESC. Being curious to see what should have been better than TIX brought me here. And I'm grateful for that. In just a couple of days I have discovered two amazing talents which would both be the best at this year's ESC. Just send this one next year.

Most people know TIX was one of 5 ,co writing AVA MAX-SWEET BUT PSYCHO...but with fallen angel it will be to difficult...maybe top 10...
The thing is that Tix have a big fan base, and if you have been following him for a while he has shared a lot of his story, and this fallen angle song is a part of his story. That’s why a lot of people voted for him, because it’s not just a song, it’s part of a story he tells in a few songs and that makes it more personal and that’s a big reason why people voted, because they already know parts of the story.
So devastated because you lost the show tonight. However, monument, for me, is one of the greatest songs of 2021! I watched MGP really rooting for you to win. Love from Brazil! 🇧🇷 🇳🇴
