    I always thought that put in was private lol. I actually had formed a plan for a romantic weekend getaway in the bee cliff cabin right on the river just so I could fish it. We really need to go one day man, we can float your area on a trip then wade fish mine on another. Great video as always brother!

    It’s always weird seeing the area I grew up in on CZcams lol.

    I live 250 yards from the Watauga river. Not far up river from the 19E Bridge and about 3 miles road distance down river from where you are fishing in this video. I bike ride for exercise and frequently ride up to the Watauga Dam past the "Collectors dream" Texco sign and bridge piers you are fishing in this video. Have you ever been curious about the history of those piers and the others no longer used on the Watauga and Holston rivers? Some have significant Civil War history. All have history dating back to a time when riding a train to town was faster than taking your horse drawn buggy. :)

      I’ve always been interested in that part of the river. We may need to do a history lesson on the Watauga river.

    I was about to leave until you mentioned that you pick up trash. Good man, I've subscribed even if you catch tiny fish. ;-)

    Hey Mr. Michael - as you can see I'm not binge watching all your videos today. :) LOL - Would a Rooster Tail spinner work on these trout or are they too "lure shy" in the rivers from the pressure? Thanks Sir. Maybe we could fish together sometime if you still fish? ( since this vid is 2 years old)

      Roostertails work great early in the morning at this particular location. I still fish twice a week every week working on my channel.

    As always, awesome video! Did you use a weight on your line or did you just let the tuffy’s run freely?

    • @MichaelKaal-TriFisher
      @MichaelKaal-TriFisher  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Mary, yes, I used a single split shot to get the tuffy about a foot below the surface. The tuffy still had another foot to swim freely and attract trout.
