I so hear you Liv. I have 3 boys (all within 3.5 years). My youngest is Autistic and is very much like Arlo. I’m a nurse and knew by the time he started school…..we had issues. It took (in Australia) 2 years total for a full diagnosis. The meltdowns were horrendous Liv and those days I wanted to quite honestly to walk out the door. He is now 16……and life is soooooooo very different. He doesn’t main stream school, never has but he homeschools through Wolsey in Oxford. He is fully self directed. He is an independent, beautiful, amazing boy. Please give yourself grace…..it’s so important for you to have time for yourself and your husband.❤️❤️
I havnt even got half way through your video yet but I want to say how special your relationship is with Arlo. I love seeing how you really listen to him when he talks. ❤
Hi Liv, I’m a mum to 3 boys, my 14 year old has autism and was diagnosed when he was a little older than Arlo, I’m now starting the process all over again with my youngest who is 23 months, it’s a tough road ahead, especially with the added mental health struggles, I get that too ❤ the meltdowns were one of the toughest parts with my son when he was that age, they do learn to manage better once they can communicate more. You are so good and calm with him x
I think you need to praise yourself. Very hard I know. You are doing good things! Tile is something you need for your keys! Works well.
I would also say there is support out there so don’t give up. You know we are also all there. Believe in yourself!
So glad you are getting support 🫶🫶👏💪🍀❤️🤞⭐️🌺
I am literally going through the SAME process as you are. Its very over whelming and ive got two to deal with, in the same boat 😅 so I totally get how much stress your going through ❤ send love and emotional support your way xxx
Make sure once he is put on the wait list you ring up and say I want to know about the right to choose, most area’s now have to give you the right to chose a paediatrician which can make the process a lot faster.
But from one sen mum to another once they are diagnosed there rarely is any help so please don’t get your hopes up that things will be better with a diagnosis 😢
Also make sure you really look into your local primary schools, go in and ask about their SENCO and ask on local groups if anyone has a SEN child in the school and how they cope etc!
I'm in the exact same situation as you toddler hood is hard ☺️🙈🙈xxx
Look forward to these every week!! Xx
Yayyy means the world to me 🥹🥹
Morning Liv, I've been following you on CZcams for quite a while now and I've always thought you're such a fantastic mummy to Arlo, I'm literally 4 minutes into this video and I'm just in awe of you. Happy Sunday 🫶🏻
Aw happy Sunday you are so lovely 🥰 💓
Doing amazing Liv, your videos help me so much 💙
Aww I’m so glad they do!! Sending so much love xx
Omg the special best friend bracelets are so cute! Defo trying that. 😍
Aww thank you!! We got the set from b and m at Easter time. Gutted he snapped it then 😅 he’s just left now to go to his nanny’s 💔
Hey I've followed you on instagram for about a week. Today at 1pm I had a zoom call about an autism diagnosis (ados 2) I went to the gp in December and we lost the forms when my mum moved house she asked for new ones but they just gave us an appointment my parents have a 3 hour meeting next week and then I will get the results within a month so 7-8 months total I know people who have been waiting for 3 years I do have my GCSEs in a few years so maybe that's why (I'm under 16 btw)
Happy Sunday xx
Happy Sunday 😀
Have you tried another Mom to pick him up and take him or grandparent picking him up. Sometimes helps with separation.
Where are your trousers from please lovelg? Xx
Heyy from h and m I’ve linked on my highlights on insta xx
You can go private for a diagnosis. Maybe the way to go if it's not going to be until he's 5. He may need an EHCP once he's at school. That will be easier to get once you have a diagnosis. It's difficult if you don't have the diagnosis. Sending love
I am going through this with my 4 year old. Nursery recommended going private, early years wait list is 4 years (of which he will be out) school wait list is 7 years! So will be in secondary school. Need to get the help you can before he starts school. Good luck with it all I’m sure he will get seen and but we have no choice but to get pmi to pay for it xx
Hey lovely thanks so much. Something I haven’t considered, aren’t they quite costly? You are right there does need to be a plan in place but something that reassures me is he never has meltdowns at nursery it’s always at home so I hope he will be ok in school. He’s 3 next week can’t believe how fast he’s growing up Xx
Oh my gosh no!! That’s awful, the system is so over stretched isn’t it. Do you mind me asking how much roughly it is to go private? It’s something I’m considering xx
@@athomewithliv I'm sorry I don't have a price. I imagine it's costly but maybe worth looking into. It's just what other mums who have sen kids are recommending now because of the ridiculous wait times.x
@@athomewithliv I think £1500 -£2000 but I’m thinking of going private medical insurance to pay for it x
Are they sorting out an EHCP for Arlo?
Hey lovely no she didn’t mention that, is that something he will need? X
@@athomewithliv I’ve sent you a instagram dm cause it’s a lot lol xx
absolutely yes! The process needs to be started now, it ideally needs to be in place before he starts school and it can take months/years so definitely start now x
