Now that was a superb video, I could have watched you fly in that gorgeous flying machine all day, I really could. So you work for these people now do you? I ask that because you said WE have to get the aircraft ready in the morning, so I am assuming you work for them especially as you are in uniform. I am a bit surprised you were flying alone today though and not with some bird, as you were "penetrating with your chopper today" PMSL (sorry I get smuttier as the day goes on) but you know me by now PMSL!!!!

Haha, no I don't work for them at the moment, I do have a job offer with them as an instructor at the end of all my training though. I just said 'we' as in any pilot taking the aircraft out at the start of the day has to do a full check A on the aircraft.

You talk about checking the fuel. When I was younger, I was in the Air Force working on F-15's (My plane to be exact) anyways there is a point just a little bit back from the ray dome where you just do a quick push and you can get a sample of fuel. Me being new to the flight line, I pushed a little harder than I should. The spring loaded pin went up and sat itself in an open position, next thing I knew, I was defueling the aircraft at that point. They called out the fire department, a fueling truck (to drain the aircraft of the remaining fuel) and a weapons specialist, they work on stuff like this and 3 other airmen to handle the portable fire extinguishers just in case. What was suppose to take 2 minutes ended up being 4 hours later. You might want to tell them not to push so hard, like I did

Nice one Tom. That overheating iPad is a bit of a bugger though. I’m going to get myself so confused when I stop using Helicentre callsigns. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Thanks mate! I'm still not used to it, my radio has gone from sounding pro to sounding like a beginner again haha

What iPad do you use? Is it full size or an iPad mini? Trying to decide which to get for microlight flying.

I use mini as it fits on my leg well. Full sized iPads are just too big to fly with.

How many hours do you have logged? Going through my own training and would like to see how far off I am.
