  • France and the rest of Europe are waking up to the possibility of the far-right coming to power in one of the EU's founding members.
Marine LePen's National Rally has taken the largest share of the vote with 33% in the first round of snap parliamentary elections in France. President Emmanuel Macron's centrists trailed in third with 20%, behind a left-wing alliance that pulled 28% of the vote. Macron is calling on voters to prevent the far-right from winning a governing majority in next Sunday's decisive final round.

Your "expert" isn't so much an expert in my opinion. Macron didn't expect the left to unify, for one. He expected them to be divided and have insignificant scores, hoping the left would then join him once again in the fight against the RN; instead, it backfired and he finds himself with far fewer seats than he had before.

Okay, but let's put your expert opinion to check though. Macrons party now takes the third place so their voters have to choose a party, and now their decision will be made between the lepens party, and the left alliance, do you think macrons voters will chose the left or the right? Cause I don't see them voting for lepen.
