- Ask anyone about Antwuan Dixon, and the first thing out of their mouth will usually be something about his unmatched style. Yet Antwuan's allure goes far beyond his innate and completely unique way of skating. Since his entrance into the skate world he's always been at the center of attention, even when he's not on a skateboard, but over the last couple years he’s dodged the spotlight as he’s dealt with countless personal struggles. Antwuan opens up about the struggles he’s faced, chasing sobriety, and his will to rise back up.
Word on the street is Twuan didn't do well in school because he could never ask a question because he never raised his arms

It seems like he is progressing and working through his demons. It's awesome that he is accepting help unlike a lot of people dealing with addiction. I'm so stoked for him.
Also, holy shit those tricks were amazing.
Great to see the entire Baker familly doing great.
I'm going to be honest, really was starting to think that Antwuan would die in prison or in the streets.
But its great to see that he got on the right track.
Love to see him talk about his struggles too, because the entire pissdrunk generation that they helped promote at the time needs to realise that all this is not a game and you can very easily slip and just disapear (literally or metapohrically)
Most of the Baker guys had some real problems with drugs and/or alcohol but they pretty much all made it.
Now a lot of them are sober, theyre dads, and they seem happier than ever, it feels good.
So excited to see him working through his demons. Addiction ain't no joke. I'm there myself man. It's a hard thing to accept that your broken and flawed. But if you make it to the sober side..... man, there is no better feeling. I believe in you bro. You can do this. So happy to see you back. You deserve this. You have so much RAW TALENT. STAY ON THAT BOARD BRO!

Keep up the sobriety. I skated just shy of 10 years before I lost my leg drinking & driving. Lost my Leg, brother, cousin, friends, then worse of all my baby niece of cancer over the last 7 years. Family members started fighting, my kid's mom couldn't hang thru all the depression and pain which created more of both but I take it day by day still 4+ years booze free, anti depression pill free(tried but no thanks) with minimal exposure to AA. I still go to the skate park with homies time to time hard to be there sober but the hype of people sticking new tricks, battling harder tricks shows me and reminds me of that drive I had for the sport and I'm still learning to channel that energy into something progressive rather than sitting around drinking/smoking myself away from problems that never disappear. Keep clean, stay up & stay out of trouble and your path will be clear to take yourself anywhere with enough focus, hard work and dedication. Last but not least, if you have kids, spend as much time as you can with them.

It is so incredible to watch him skate. It's not like watching other skaters. When he skates it's like it's art. I feel like I'm listening to classical music or watching a Shakespeare play. He is the most naturally talented skater I've ever seen.
Finally! I'm so happy. This is truly a monumental moment for the kids, and the skateboarding community. You'll always be my favorite skater fam, I'll never forget that baker 3 part.

Although im well aware that this message to you may likely go unread, (lost amongst the 1000's of other comments), I feel it worthwhile, regardless of whether or not you recieve it, to send you all the hope, strength, courage, resolve, focus, clarity and foresight necessary to overcome these dark days and navigate the many treacherous paths that lay ahead. I'm just one person with no degrees, credentials or certificates to lend weight or significance to my words but I too have struggled and suffered loss, took comfort in the false and fleeting relief of drug and drink and over time lost touch with those unique talents/abilities given to each of us in this life. So what I really wanted to say to you, which I'm certain you already know damn well, is that, one: don't ever convince yourself that no one else will understand your pain, and two: every day that you manage to fight the good fight sends an overwhelming and empowering message not only to the countless young fans who follow you religiously but to the many many others like myself who relate directly to the challenges you're faced with. People who DESPERATELY NEED to be shown proof that there's a way out. Your story thus far has moved me and i need you to know that people you don't know, and might not ever meet, are rooting for you brother. Don't give up. -Matt

I been through some shit too. Let me tell you some shit they wont tell you in rehab, AA, whatever. Anger and rage is stored in the liver, sadness is stored in the lungs. (Chinese medicine). As soon as you start eating a diet 80% fruits and doing coffee enemas your liver/lungs begins to detox and the emotions will release too. It's not easy you have to feel the emotions all over again but its worth it trust me.

yulp. I used to drink alot. I would quit then get fat because I would turn to food. Now I know it's not the brain that craves that shit but parasites in my gut. The gut is basically your brain... thats where the term "I gota gut feeling" comes from. When you start eating clean, all that negative shit in your gut dies off. Things like cigs, energy drinks, alcohol you wont even crave them because the parasites are all dead. Most people are not strong enough to eat clean because when the parasites start to die they release toxins in the body and it makes you sick. It takes time and when you make it to the other end all you will want to do is help people.

Baker'd show up at some skatepark for a demo, and kids would skate right by Figgy, Spanky, even ignorin the Boss, just to go see Twuan. I sure hope none of those kids got it twisted, esp. after his Epicly Later'd where he was basically a drunken belligerent dickhole, thinkin that shits cool.
