Congratulations Congresswoman Gluesenkamp Perez! We are proud to have you representing us. 💙 🇺🇸
Congratulations Congresswoman Gluesenkamp-Perez! You are a super down-to-earth warrior for Washington State!
She's not
@@SpaceBethC131 care to elucidate?
How refreshing was that? Welcome Congress woman.
Let me just say You go Girl!! Congrats!
I wish her every success in her job.
I'm very proud of Washingtonians and how they fared in selecting their representation.
All we want are serious people.
We also like to mail in our ballots. I've been doing it for over 25 years.
👏👏
I'm a Dem. and I've voted for JHB in 2018, and 2022. Not anymore. Go Marie! Thank you!
@@ntoendlovuu2098 Lol.
@@ntoendlovuu2098 Otvali, pizda - blagodaryu vas, KKKretin...
I am watching fresh members, like Marie, loudly advocate for the Rural people’s party in the Democratic Party. Keep it up, we can rise if we aren’t rising!
Congratulations Congressman Gluesenkamp Pérez. I am thrilled with the outcome. It is scary to me that 49% voted for her crazy opponent!! Washington tends to vote Democratic. I live in eastern Washington which leans Republican. Thankfully, I didn’t have any Maga candidates to deal with
They don't get that we are really a purple state! I live in the NW region, very rural, more conservative, but we all get along fine as long as we remember to respect each other! Glad you didn't have to deal with wingnuts this round!
Thanks super old white lady Debbie for your opinion
No MAGA candidates in Eastern Washington???? Did you skip that whole Tiffany Smiley thing, or/??
@@Merzui-kg8ds oh, I don't think Amy of us could forget her, but we all got to suffer through her ads & stuff as she was running for a Senate position. Thx everyone for sending Patty back instead of her.
@@Merzui-kg8ds I was referring to my smaller locality when I wrote that. Yes, I intentionally missed Tiffany Smiley irritating advertising after awhile. I knew I was voting for Patty Murray. I also limit my TV intact. While I live in a very conservative city, I could not find anything in the newspaper, in the political mailings and on the internet that helped me sort the remaining republicans that were at times running against other republicans or undeclared in the more minor positions. I wanted to know more and there was little to find. I could easily tell you who to vote for in Georgia, Texas, Penn, etc but was hard pressed to find much on anyone beyond Patty Murray.
Good job on shutting down the carpetbagger, Marie.
Excellent point: 'We have to stop being cheerleaders for our party and start being advocates for our district'. - Thank you!!
This is EXACTLY the type of folks we need up there in Washington.
It really really is it's just sad that they can't get much done because we have a party the Republican party who's only agenda is to prevent the agenda that we all voted for
Congratulations 🎉 miss Perez
Well done.
Congrats. Best wishes.
Washingtonian here! This win warms my heart. Always nice to know that my state is a smart state.
Perez's victory shows once again, that all politics is local. The party needs to find more candidates like her. Locals, well-known in their community and potential leaders. There are gobs of problems in rural communities that Democrats could address, and maybe even work with Republicans on (yeah--I know--GASP)--and they are not necessarily the familiar hyperpartisan issues like gun control. And this woman has some ideas. I've never even heard of "right to repair". Let's listen.
WOW!!! I like her---articulate and knows the issues from personal experience.
Very refreshing to hear. We need more candidates running to represent their district not their party.
That won't last. Just look at how fast the FraudSquad sold out to the corporate Dems
Congrats to this congresswoman.
I would have voted for her. I live in Oregon.
Proud of Congresswoman Perez from my home state!
Congratulations Congresswoman on your win! I too get my internet from a radio tower!
I'm in the WA-3rd district and I am so proud of you Marie! I was a one of those Democrats that voted for JHB in the primary for the reasons you stated.
Gluesenkamp Perez is a rising star within the Democratic Party, and the fact that she was able to flip a Republican-heavy district really shows how powerful she was as a candidate. I am convinced that Washington's 3rd District may be becoming purple after her victory.
She really is a rising Democratic star isn't she, one of many actually emerging. Meanwhile, the proto-fascist MAGA movement have taken over the GOP and nominate far-right conspiracy-theorists with no agenda, just revenge and gridlock.
Eventually I do want a strong GOP back as
"a strong democracy requires a strong opposition", -someone,
but considering not much will get done within the next two years-at least regarding new initiatives-as the GOP have the House: I want them to eat themselves for the next 6-8yrs thanks. Really give the Dems a chance to get their agenda through-and they just might do it too, as Biden's already had legislative wins to rival FDR's.
And that was before a once in-is it forty or seventy yr? mid-term upset as America said "enough", to; conspiracy-theorists, losing rights, fascism, religious edicts, fixation on culture wars, extremism, permanently angry far-right ego and spite driven politics... it's a very long list, I could go on and on. As Marie Perez said, HOW could you look at all that^ and conclude: yup, that's what Americans will vote for...
Thank you.
she's going to be amazing! We're lucky in Washington😅 I'm happy I moved up here in time to vote for you
Congrats, Congresswoman-elect Glusencamp-Perez! I'm a fifth-gen Washingtonian as well! I'm in the 7th District.
I listened to her debates with Joe Kent : she was steady, well researched, & instinctively understood her district and ultimately what the county was looking for. CONGRATULATIONS YOU WERE SPECULATOR. 👏🏻 👤🇺🇸🌿🌎🌿🇺🇸👤👏🏻
She sounds like a real person and that's what we need in Washington
Congratulations Democrat Rep.-Elect Marie Gluesenkamp Perez! It's so nice to hear someone that really knows peoples everyday struggles. 💙 🇺🇸💙 🇺🇸
I don't know her but she sounds sensible
Great interview! I think she and Katie Porter would make a good team.
SO happy to see this. I voted for her, and I'm glad I did!
Nice to hear someone speak reasonably about actual issues. Focused on the district, not guest spots, and culture wars. Congratulations to you, your district, and your success.
Thumbs up for Gluesenkamp, you can't argue with good sense.
Congratulations on your win congress person elect Perez. I hate to be shallow but I love her hair.
She's real. She's smart. She's naturally gorgeous and her haircut is perfect.
As a Washingtonian, I was not surprised, at all. SW Washington has had many Democratic representatives over the years. Overall, with the exception of Linda Smith (R), none of Districts reps (Republican or Democrat) were extremists.
Congrats Ms . Perez. Best wishes in your elected position. You sound like a genuine hardworking person who really cares about the issues a lot of us face.
We need more sensible politicians like this!
Roevember! There’s hope for the USA 🇺🇸
Time will tell
My van is 10 years old. It gets repaired. I can no longer afford a monthly car payment.
Then again, repairing a car is usually cheaper than making car payments.
Awesome Congress Women in the future 👏
Love when normal citizens get elected to Congress.
How refreshing to listen to this interview
Yay, Marie!!!
I am amazed that she won frankly. I voted for JHB in primary hoping that Kent would come in third. This race was very close. That fact that a crazy election denier even got on the ballot was appalling. Trump won this district by a wide margin in 2020. This outcome may have been the biggest upset of the midterm. 😊
Congrats! And a thank you from your neighbors across the Columbia. I listened to the debate... Kent is crazy.
She's from a very moderate district and Herrera-Butler is sort of a hero for being one of a select few Republicans that voted to impeach Trump. It's fantastic she flipped the seat - a MAGA extremist would NOT represent the voters of that district at all! Just north are some of the most progressive districts in the nation encompassing Olympia and Seattle and Portland to the south. Herrera-Butler was an old-time Pacific-NW type Republican who sacrificed her job to do the right thing and her replacement has similar political views and hopefully won't ever face making a decision like that.
She's MY Rep and I happily voted for her!
Here's to the beginning of success for you and your district
I'm in WA-3 and voted for Perez in the general and Jaime Herrera Beutler in the primary. I used to be strongly libertarian, now vote with Democrats, because obviously. I made an exception to cross the line and vote for JHB in the primary, though, the only vote I have cast for her in many years of voting. I'm not sure whether I would have voted for JHB in the general or not, but I wanted her to be on the ballot. she earned it after Jan 6.
all of what she said is basic decency of issues that every American person may deal with. Congrats to you on your victory and having the fortitude to take the step to get to Washington and tell the folks there to get their act together.....We all need your support and inputer. Again...Congrats to you and thank you....
This congresswoman speak with so much knowledge of accountability and transparency .
I live in the 3rd, too. I used to be a Republican when there was a Republican Party. Joe Kent is crazy stupid. I funded both JHB and Ms. Perez, but I wonder about her life as a representative and a Mom. She has a young son, and her job now is demanding. She gets to commute to Washington DC on Monday morning, then return on Friday evening? How do you raise kids like that? And let alone draft the legislation needed for her district? Oh well...Clark County is "Trumplahoma" - Vancouver is "Vantucky". I wish her well - us moderates need to stick together.
Excellent example of knowing the people to serve the people. Kings and Queens had issues because they were detached from the reality of the hard work of their citizens. Wish we had 400 more of you!
Shout out & huge thank you to Jaime Herrera Beutler for not only voting to impeach Trump but for coming forward to expose the McCarthy Trump call on Jan 6th. She's a hero.
Wow! What a potential *star* of Congress going forward. Kinda reminds me of Katie Porter.
I saw this interview live last night - and had a hunch it would be something the network would make a stand-alone YT clip today. ;-)
Shes gonna be great
A real person! Yay, Ms. Gluesenkamp Perez. But I hope she is prepared when Nancy sits her down to dialing for dollars her first week in DC, and I hope Marie tells her where to stick it.
First time I see her and I love her already. It's so refreshing and encouraging to see another red district turn blue with what seems to me to be a progressive young and smart new congresswoman. Another Alexandria Ocasio Cortez perhaps ??.. Hopefully joins the squad as a progressive Justice democrat. The country really needs people like this. Best of luck and all hopes for Marie.
Marie's much more moderate than AOC though, so I don't think she'd be interested in The Squad. She's definitely progressive in some ways, advocating for abortion rights, lowering healthcare costs and tackling climate change. But she's also pro-gun rights in a way that would probably turn hardcore progressives like AOC off (she opposes an assault weapons ban, for instance).
GRASS ROOT GROUPS !! YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!
I love this woman. Enough said.
Congrats to Marie on getting elected to Congress. I do believe though that she got fortunate with running against a MAGA candidate. If Jamie Herrera Beutler hadn't voted to impeach Trump, she might not have gotten primaried and therefore likely would've won the general election. Obviously Marie deserves credit for the hard work she put in to get elected, but we can probably also thank Trump for helping her out a bit
Sometimes you need luck and circumstance to finally be given a chance! This was her’s and let’s not sleep on Marie!
Work together to make a better country
Nice.
She's got a great msg.
Well done 👍 🌹
I’ve been a trade for 40 years.
Happy I did it
She's doing a great job here in Clark County.
Good for her!!!!
I'm from Seattle and let me tell you, outside of the Seattle metro, there are rural areas that are full-pledged Republican and compared to the very modern and advanced Seattle, they seem very behind the times. They are still old-school farmers.
I honestly like her enough to vote for her if she was running for President. She looks at things evenly and pragmatically. She knows what real people that have to work with their hands and on their feet all day are needing and how we feel. Also it’s really obvious to me that we need a new generation that are under 50 in the White House. We need people that are like us. Most of us don’t have money to burn and there’s very few people in Washington over the years that are not already rich. An entitlement issue isn’t gonna help us, they will be more focused on helping themselves. Honestly how can you care for a country when you have never lived the way 70% of us do?
I just made a comment that she should run for President before reading your comment. Everything she said and who she is, is who we need. She's the future candidate for POTUS.
She's awesome.
Go WA go!
a voice that represents so many of US
This is my district. I voted for her over the psycho Kent.
Take the corporate pressure off of loggers and they will be better stewards of our forests than anyone would think. Loggers understand that if they cut all of the trees they are out of jobs. They understand what clear cutting does to the land. "They would reforest if given the opportunity. Same for farmers who understand how to work their land to ensure that the next growing season will have an abundance of crops, either allowing a field to lay fallow or planting a different crop. They have been doing these jobs for generations. They cannot compete with the large corporate entities that have taken over their trades.
CONGRATULATIONS
👏😁 ... more of her character needed!
Wow, she really has her finger on the pulse of her community! Rep Perez is going to make a real difference, given a chance.
ERMAHGERD! It almost makes me forget that the GOP took the House!! 😂
Congratulations to Marie! She is like a breathe of fresh air and in my opinion is exactly what Congress needs instead of these self interested middle aged men who have forgotten they took an Oath.
Excellent video.
Congratulations!
Yeah, thanks for work.
We need a UBI now!
Yeeeeehhhaaaaaa!!!! More more more DIVERSITY
Maybe she should get her door fixed.
Why was Tiffany Cross fired from MSNBC?
I love this woman!!!! Let’s go Dems (and Rural Democrats) and the focus on your constituents first! Walking and chewing gum at the same time, a greater feat by Dems but those feats are what the people want!
Trying to end the 'disposable economy'... now there's a concept to get excited about, especially when things are so expensive to replace, as they are now, or can't be replaced because suppliers are still making up ground from the chip shortage caused by Covid..
She is a breath of fresh air!! We need lots more like her in DC.
When did a Republican ever build a bridge. ?
For a European it's nice to see it's not ALL about money. There's hope for Ameristan!
00:03:08 - simple politics that we almost forgot.
For Business, ah no...not
For IRS Agents was the Vote ••
Way to go blue👍
My congratulations to you, I'm glad to see a democrat win.i don't think there's any way we can be bipartisan with the crazies in the republican party. I don't understand. I think we put them aside and fight for our rights. We have to.
And one must wonder how many of those people trained for computer programming actually got jobs in THIS country.
If this woman runs for president one day I think she could win, she couldn't be a more perfect person to unify people right now
Wow! She is good. We need the people with the graduate degrees to deal with questions that require graduate degrees. As she points out, we don't need people who've read about life in southwest Washington in a book, no matter how well-intentioned, not to understand the situation on the ground. You bring in an attitude of I want to help fix things. That, in general, is the Democrats. That's good. But saying "I want to help fix the problems of this part of the country and telling the people who live there how, when they may very well know how but are stymied by a lack of resources is going to make your sell as a candidate harder, no matter how well-intentioned you are. I mean, everyone should be listening to everyone else in Congress. So many bad things about Donald Trump but "I alone..." is either at or right near the top.
