Tron Lightcycle Run official opens in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida on April 4th, 2023. A virtual queue will be in place when the ride opens and guests will need to use the MyDisneyExperience app to book a ride time. Standby queue will not be available.

ho hum, was expecting more!
I watched it twice andwas thinking maybe 4 g experience with the head gear- helmets? but if the target is young teens then its ok.
I was able to ride on it last Firday and It was pretty awesome! I would say that it would be great to add another 30 seconds. I left like I was in the movie and the whole experience was great!!
That's what I was thinking. Seemed like such an experience until it was cut short. Needed another boost of adrenaline before its end for sure.
This ride looks so awesome. I want to ride it so bad.
They went all out on the creativity, visual effects, building structure, and bikes YET they couldn't give it another 30 seconds of another launch and perhaps a nice double helix or something? It is a motorcycle and it is TRON. We need more speed and track.

As somebody who gets freaked out over riding roller coasters, this looks like a blast! I’d love to ride this.
I hate, hate, hate coasters because of drops and just seeing them in person freaks me out. But I really enjoyed this ride. No drop. Even though the sign out front says “sudden drops” I learned quickly that “drops” in Disney World are usually just dips. Everything in the dark was fine. I like not seeing what’s ahead as that will keep me from freaking out also. There were no real drops, no inversions or loops. But it does go fast, there are a few of those dips and you feel the force around corners which is thrill enough for me! I also love Daft Punk who did the music for the movie, and is included on the ride. I liked the launch a lot even though I did get scared at first because I’ve only ever sat. This was the first coaster where I did anything else; I never leaned forward like that, but the launch is still gradual enough that I was able to keep my wits about me through the whole thing, but still feel exhilarated. Even though I can see what’s going on outside, there’s nothing too crazy about the track. It just feels fast and curvy. Nothing is jarring, again there are no drops or loops or inversions. So yeah, as someone else who is deathly afraid of roller coasters, I was able to do this just fine, and would happily go on it again.

I think this ride is awesome.
We kept dreaming of a world we thought we'd never see. And then, one day, we got in!
That initial launch honestly looked pretty cool, but the way it then seemingly goes in a straight line with a mild hill... really does not seem worth the waiting time.
well...its a smooth roller coaster.....but very funny as i can see....its different.

went on it last week. Was super excited to go on and enjoyed the ride. However I thought it was a very short ride, could've been a lot better inside and a bit taller and quicker on the first turn.
So what I gathered from this is that if you want the motorcycle seat-style on a rollercoaster, just go to Universal and ride Hagrid’s Motorbike.
This ride had so much potential to be great. I get that it’s in Magic Kingdom, but a double launch + like an additional 30 seconds of ride would have done this so much justice. I’ll have to wait to ride this one until the wait times are way down
i think both are a bucket list item just as much (although my bucket list will have me ride the Tron ride in Disneyland Shanghai),
the reason being both are very different styles of theming, i wouldn't want to miss out on either

Never have I wished more that I could handle coasters, thank you for allowing me to live vicariously. Although I think the portion of the ride that goes outdoors detracts from the immersion of the ride, they should've had it entirely enclosed.
You can handle this ride, I was terrified the first time because I’ve never been a rollercoaster person, but it’s so smooth and fast, I loved it. Went on it 3 times last week. Trust me, it’s not terrifying at all.
The reason part of it is outside is because it was designed after the Shanghai Disney Tron.

Facts. I rode guardians not too long ago and this goes way above this. I rode Tron, I would give it a 3/5. Mild as seven dwarves. The launch is the whole intense part.
Which means I won't ride it.

I hate rollercoasters and this felt very intense for me compared to other coasters I've been on. (Maybe because of the seat style and because i'm only 85 pounds might add into that??)

I feel like this should have gone to Epcot instead of MK.
I thought this ride would of been amazing if a bit longer and you didnt have to que for so long. You have to book on virtual que and que for 30+ mins for a ride that barely lasts 5 minutes. Is it worth it? Not really given the quing or additional money required to get on quicker.

This was great now I don't have to wait in line for hours for a ride that's under 2min and didn't look all that exciting.

Disney World Florida
Specifically, in Tomorrowland next to Space Mountain. Given how tall I am, I can barely fit in Space Mountain these days (the ride car, not the actual mountain, ha), so it's reassuring to have a rude that caters to my height. Plus, I love it despite the short runtime. Quality over quantity, I say.
It might move to North Carolina unless they vote out Ron Desantis out of office.

Well, I know what ride I WON’T waste time on next time I come through Disney World. I’d rode GOTG: Cosmic Rewind (Epcot) and it was phenomenal, so I was curious if anyone who’d rode Tron as well, and an overwhelming majority who did get in the queue to ride said it was pretty bland for something they had to wait so long for. One dude even went as far as to say he’d rather endure the wait for Cosmic Rewind. Not only is it FASTER, it’s a longer ride, and generally far more fun. While it’ll be nice once they stop with the queue to hop on, I know despite how ‘bland’ this coaster is, the wait times are gonna SUCK BALLS once both these rides are fully open to the public again.
TRON was pants! Cosmic Rewind was the bomb!

I don’t understand why any part of this is not enclosed. It makes zero sense for a Tron ride to go outdoors. Also, it is SO short.

There are no good attractions with a ride duration of under 2 minutes and 15 seconds. IT IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT!!!!

NOT a great ride. I was left disappointed! Glad I didn't have to wait in line for 2 hours for that. Virtual Queue saved the day there, that's for sure.
This is a cool idea, but way too short and missing more wow factor.
Coming from someone who saw the hagrids motorbike ride from universal, this is so mid.

The ride itself doesn't do anyone justice LOL but I can see how some people might like it, it launches really quickly and then it just becomes painfully slow, and uninteresting people mover after that
In my opinion, launching straight out into daylight really kills the "show". Disney rides aren't especially thrilling, what makes them special is the total immersion into the world they're creating, and this just doesn't do it for me.
disney didn't change the ride from Shanghai and in Hong Kong they had a problem of people not knowing enclosed rides were roller coaster until they got to the front of the line so when Shanghai opened they made part of it outdoors so no one would be confused. but I think the entire area is considered to be in "the grid"
Ngl this coaster looks really bad. If you’re not a big fan of Tron, it seems like a total waste of time. It’s super short and it has less intense turns than Space Mountain. Honestly looks like a massive disappointment.

I genuinely had no idea before watching this if this was a universal studios or Disney ride. After watching, I'm certain it's a disney ride. Disney rollercoasters are always so short, half of them are indoors, and there is always a very underwhelming thrill factor. They just pull you in with the hype of a "tron ride" with no real intentions on delivering something truly good. Disney instead puts out a half assed ride that just checks the list of requirements to make a disney ride. They never prioritze customer experience and only price. Disney essentially tries to cut costs by cramming what could be a huge rollercoaster into a tiny, short, largely indoor experience. However, there's never enough space indoors for a good rollercoaster, and people often just get confused when they are looking around inside the room containing the track. It can be hard to tell apart what you are supposed to be looking at in the moment of the ride versus what you are supposed to ignore...the rollercoaster is constantly passing by other parts of the track inside. They try to help this by turning all the lights off to hide the supporting structures, but that means they have to fill in that with SOMETHING... so they use... some random patterns, a couple of blue arrows that light up, and some light up rings you pass through on the ride? Even the "crash" at the end was unimpressive. Look at the white random hexagon patterns on the wall at 1:13. What does that mean? Did they just paint that on the walls? Are we supposed to be seeing that now or was that from earlier? This is the problem with trying to be cheap and save space, you end up with a confusing, short, underwhelming, low thrill rollercoaster in the dark. Disney, stop doing this crap.

Wow it's almost like Disney has always prioritized theming over big thrill rides. If you just want big roller coasters, go to fucking Cedar Point or something. This is like complaining about the ocean for being too wet.

A One Minute Ride Total Joke and Disappointment
Boring underwhelming ride… a lot of detail and time went into the decor and effects but very little went into the ride itself

What’s even crazier is that Universal built hagrid’s AND Velocicoaster before Disney opened tron. What’s sadder is the fact that this ride is a duplicate of the Shanghai’s Tron and it still took super long. I bet if Covid didn’t happen it still would have took them long. Sad :(
