    Awesome build man! Your videos take me back to my childhood days. Grab a few liters of kerosene from the station the next time you get gas. Use a small plastic drain pan and some cheap plastic brushes. The kerosene works awesome as a grease and oil cleaner. Then just wash with soap and water after.

    At ten years old there was no way my 50p a week pocket money would buy a Tamiya r.c hornet or lunchbox i saw in the catalogue. On a visit to my uncles home, on the top of his wardrobe was a grasshopper 2 super G. I remember that the 1 battery took as long to trickle charge as his comodore 64 did to load! On the next visit he gifted it to me and i loved it. later on my best mate had a tamiya monster truck, midnight pumpkin i think. We took the bigger wheels off it & fitted them to the super G. Good times.

    Tip : If you buy stuff that comes with foam packing (like servos in plastic boxes) - keep the foam! Using it now to fit magnetic mounts on my Accord body in the right hight, and yesterday I put some thin strips of it on clips my TA02 Porsche body rests on, so it stops clattering and scratching. Had lot of use of it before. Great for stuff as you easily can cut and adapt it :p Body mounting, battery support etc.

    You do a few kyosho cars. I think you would get a huge amount of views by buying kyosho rampage base model. They are about $150 usd. I say this because TTD Rampage pro edition is very popular but on back order and has been. If you get the base model and do a upgrade video for each part to make it turn into the pro version. I know this will be one of the best views videos and it it’s a great truck and one that everyone should have in their collection.

    That looks really good! The only way it could be improved (for me) is if the wheels were yellow yellow. I know that doesn’t follow the super G theme but what the heck?

    my first car was the grass hopper 2 with the yellow wheels. i did a similar thing with wheels by fitting monster beetle wheels to it. then i later discovered the mad bull. i dont think i have it anymore but might have to dig it out if i do?

    For the future, any future in running a bottoming tap in those shock bottoms to change the thread?

  • @KingBollock
    @KingBollock Před 4 lety +3

    If you’re struggling with having to force threaded rod into plastic, you should try a cheap tap set.
    Something like this one would be ideal: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M4ISP2C/ref=psdc_1939064031_t1_B07QNVG9XK
    I have a tap & die set for other stuff, but I do find it comes in very handy for many of my hobbies, including RC.

    Could the driver not be glued to the shell (like the OG grashopper but with glue instead of a screw ) rather than taping on your electrics ? Ok 'nowt on a big ship' but just an idea.

    So.... How many turns is the B Zed Motor? I've never seen one before.
    I really want to build that!!! 👍👍 I've just looked online, and CAN'T find any DT-01 Chassis parts in the Northern hemisphere! 😞😭 I found Grasshopper II's, and they have a Chassis more like the Rising Fighter...
    I specifically like the way the Battery lays slanted across the back, and the rear Shocks lay down on the DT-01.
    Not looking good for me.
    ..... If you want to soften the Rear Springs... Get some from an Axial Wraith. They fit in the long CVAs, and are MUCH softer! 😊
    I really like the Tyre lettering as well. 😎

    That's the same chassis as my modded mad bull,is there a better steering rod than the metal one ?also I fitted after market rear shocks years ago that came with a spacer to put the shock in line ,it seems better than it being on a angle I think.
