    Dear Manisha, this is Anitha from Hyderabad, southern part of India.we have been following your videos for quite sometime now, really got inspired and want to design similar farm as yours. All the videos are very informative and clearly understandable even to a layman like me who is not into farming. Thanks a ton🙏 for taking time out for Q n A's and the explanatory videos.
    I have one question: i see that your farm land is black soil, is it so? And which one do you suggest red/black/mixed? That would really help, as i am in look out to buy a farmland past six months, regret for not asking you before itself🙈

    • @farmaanandaa
      @farmaanandaa  Před 4 lety

      We actually started off with sandy soil. Our entire land was just sandy dirt, no nutrients or moisture. Using the principles of permaculture we managed to re-develop our soil, get back its fertility and nutrition. We have no specific suggestion to which soil one should have, all soils are useful in their own ways -It's about making the most of them and taking care of them

    Madam, thank you for the video. I have a question. Why did you not line your pond with plastic sheet and then let the excess water seep into the ground? That way wouldn't you have longer access to pond water which would otherwise percolate into the ground?

    • @farmaanandaa
      @farmaanandaa  Před 4 lety +2

      Because a plastic sheet would not have lasted too long, and eventually would develop tears in it. Its unnatural and also ugly. The coir liner allows a natural ecosystem to develop through it, while it decomposes over the years.

    MAM NEVER GO FOR DRIP IRRIGATION FOR YOUR FARM... DRIP SYSTEM SUITS FOR COMMERCIAL MONOCULTURE FARMING... ON THE OTHER HAND ITS TOO COMPLICATED TO OPERATE AND ITS RIZER PIPES DAMAGES VERY EASILY.... ITS A HUGE HEADACHE
