80 x 48 I find the cardinal directions interface confusing and don't think I could get into this game. Like at the start, there's a castle, but no clear indication which direction to go closer to it. The first direction Chris tried led to a door, presumably was that a door of the same castle, but how can one be sure it's not some other building to the right, to the left, or behind you? In a text adventure there would be a description at this first location like "there's a large caste to the west of you", but in this game there's seems to be no equivalent hints to orientation. Other than that, it looks fun. I can't wait for more people to make more things in double low res!
You're right, 80 x 48!!! I knew 80 x 24 didn't sound correct, but forgot to go back and verify. Thanks! I also found the directions confusing - I never did do any mapping, but I wonder if you made a map perhaps it would all start to make more sense?
Thanks for showing us Undead, Chris. Double-lores is finally getting some love after 40 years.
Yep! First thing I did was try the game in my emulator - luckily it looked great.
Great review. Love that people keep making things for this computer.
Yes, I completely agree! Even if some people are only into arcade games or CRPG's, it's still great to see all of these new titles!
Very cool use of double lo res!
Definitely! I was impressed.

wow its apple brand sir
Speaking as a play tester, it's a very cool game, and challenging.
Yep, I can imagine. I foolishly tried playing without pen & paper, but quickly started taking notes.
I miss my Apple II/e
Well, I guess there's always eBay. Or come to KansasFest. Or run it in a browser: apple2ts.com
The mouse cursor looks suspiciously like a ouija planchettte
Hmm, probably not a coincidence...
The sound is definitely not playing through standard II hardware.
It's a Mockingboard sound card in slot 4, output to a pair of speakers. So it's definitely a setup you could have had back in the day.
