In this video, Kaitlyn requested that I react to From Nobodies To Legends compilation about BTS’s come up from the beginning! I love to hear their story, and to seeing all of these things makes me respect them even more!

A lot of people have NO idea how much hate they got. Even long time Armys don’t know how much they got hated on. I know more because I’m a Korean who witnessed everything on Kmedia. They are probably the most hated group ever for doing nothing wrong. They deserve so much more and I will fight with Armys until the day they become no.1 in the world, and will continue fo support forever. I hope newer Armys get to know more about BTS’ past, it is what made them today. I am so emotional rn after the graduation speech sorry 😢

I am a baby ARMY for only a few months now. I SOOO wish I could've been with you guys since the beginning and helped you fight and protect these amazing talented men, if I could bring back time and change only one thing in my life, it would be me discovering them sooner. I just want to thank you guys, for being with them since the beginning and supporting them reach their goals. While I am sad that I am late. I will be with you guys until the very end, even when the cheers die down and they all have their own lives. I'm a 2013 foreign army, but I do think I got a decent grasp of the gravity. Simply that the language barrier and my young age made it seem less harsh. But I remember quite clearly the backlash they got in 2015 , how Tae was cyberbullied and how they were accused of heinous manipulation of charts. Russian Armys really pulled up and wrote that article in Korean to disprove the rumors. That was the shit. But yeah, thankfully I didn't get to see and understand most of the malicious posts. It would've destroyed me, that's for sure. I was barely 15 back then.
I think you should watch "Karma is an ARMY" is funny but a the same time shows how Hater say Something that in their terms "We can't accomplish" and ARMY is like "OH WE SHOULD DO THAT TOO" lol

a lot of ppl see where bts are and think they’re overhyped and just pretty boys with cute dancing that made us love them, and it couldn’t be further from the truth. even that video doesn’t encompass how terrible the hate was, and still is. just look at the last week how ppl HEAVILY criticized bts for not speaking on the blm movement, not donating, even bullying V EXTENSIVELY for posting a selfie on weverse only for us to find out yesterday that they’ve been transferring ONE MILLION DOLLARS since last week and it was taking so long since it was such a large amount and they didn’t want to confirm anything yet, in fact “Variety” said that bighit only confirmed after they reached out to them and were planning not to announce it. bts have always spoken up when it matters yet ppl continuously doubt them and their success despite all the hardships they had to go through.
8:07 A.R.M.Y stands for "Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth" and it carries quite some meaning behind it, given that "Army" is associated with the military, body armor, and how those two things are always together, the fandom name basically means that fans will always be together with BTS.
It's basically another meaning for BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan = Bulletproof Boyscouts)
The boys' speeches for the graduation ceremony were so heartwarming and uniquely showed their personalities and approach, i loved it :) Namjoon spoke like a soft mentor, Jin like a kind parent, Yoongi like a wise grandpa, JK like a younger brother, Tae like a peer friend, Hobi like an older friend and Jimin like a beloved. In conclusion, Im sooooft. ;3
They went from promoting themselves in the streets of LA just to convince people to attend their FREE concert, to huge stadiums welcoming them to tour all over the world, with EXPENSIVE tickets. The boys are a perfect example of rags to riches. Yet, they’re still so humble. That’s what makes them special in ARMY’s eyes 💜 (day 4 of asking landon to do a bts dance cover 😌)
You should see the 2018 version too is like this but there's one specific part that is going to make you cry a lot

I am 52 yo ARMY! I feel like you find BTS when you need them. I know it sounds crazy but I feel energetically connected to them. Their message - what people need in the world right now. Their connection with their fans - indescribable. Their bond with each other- friendship goals. Them as individuals - unique and beautiful.
A.R.M.Y IS "ADORABLE REPRESENTATIVE M.C (Master of Ceremony) FOR YOUTH" lol we don't say that is a little secret we are only Adorable when it's comes to BTS and ARMY we are a Adorable Family. This make reminds me at that time when Jimin did a Live and accidentally reveal the name of the Hotel (when he moved he accidentally show a part like a little paper with the name of the Hotel) and he and Us freak out a lot lying and telling random Hotels Names in Twitter so Saseangs( Over obsessive Fans that can get to hurts the members, don't respect they private life and even know their phones number or be next to them in airplanes) can't find out where they were staying hoping the the Staff do something to solve the problem and at the End we foul the Saseangs and the boys were safe. I remember it was so stressful in Twitter we were screaming at each other and we were so worried. I'm glad that we manage that well as a Family protecting our Boys.💜💜💜💜

This doesn't even hit on all the hate and unnecessary disgust they got. It doesn't even hit the tip of the iceberg. I had a conversation the other day with someone who thought bts were overhyped and their music is "unnecessary". She thought they just got extremely popular all of a sudden and she didn't know everything that they have went through. A lot of people don't know everything. They aren't going to know everything because we are keeping some of the radar. Message any ARMY and they will tell you everything.

At this point, I've watched from "Nobodies to Legends" maybe 15 times and I still cry every time I get to Namjoon's speech at the end. I see your frustration and you anger and relate on such a deep level but seeing you channel that into just spreading Bangtan to your family and to the CZcams community makes me so happy! yes, they have something that make you feel good, and you feel its for real, they are not playing us, and i just have to thank them for making me happy again after a weird time i was going through
I’ve never felt this way about any artist before. I’m a cynic and i dont trust easily. In fact, I blew off BTS for 4 years before I was openminded enough to really give them a real chance. Even then, I was dubious and critical....
but their music and their journey literally flipped my life upside down... It’s like I’m the grinch whose got grew three times bigger in size...
They gave me hope that small dreams and honest effort can truly get you to higher place even if you maintain your integrity. They SHOWED me by example how a small drop in the ocean (of effort towards anything) can really become a sizeable ocean. You have to be genuine, you have to embrace discomfort and fear, you have to speak for yourself & ask for help. There are good people out there who believe in you.
Through listening to their music, grew to understand what true comfort really means, and i apply that energy when i’m comforting friends. Through their music, i learned that a good empowering message doesnt preach to you what you should do, but rather makes you search for your own path. After finding BTS, i slowly became more and more confortable in my own skin, and i learned to be kinder to myself and to the world.
Also, by supporting a foreign POC grp that has a different language and culture from me, and getting to know members of the diverse fandom, I learned so much about tolerance and openminded-ness... I grew up in a pretty progressive, leftist environment and thought i was pretty woke but through learning about the discrimination BTS faced here in the West, and through learning from POC armys’ own experiences, I learned how vain i was...
BTS has profoundly and completely changed my life in such a positive way that I can’t help but believe that my family and friends would benefit from listening to their music, reading their lyrics, learning their story....
this is why i promote them & support them. It comes from a genuine belief that those who allow themselves to be touched by their music & their story will truly benefit from it...
I have NEVER and probably wont ever again, feel this way about a music/performance act again.
And I will never forget the time when that hashtag happened. It was the most painful to think that right after their concert, they saw that hashtag. I can't imagine them seeing that phrase. I just want to hug them and say just hang in there.
You went through all the feelings new ARMYs go through when learning more about their backstory; Protectiveness, appreciation and finally wanting to spread their message & music to the world! They're such a bright light in many people lives and represent everything good. So happy you got to watch this!
Also about the radio & Spotify situation... it's a long and complicated story but basically BTS gets very little radioplay and playlisting. There are many gatekeepers in the music industry that don't want them to succeed and that's why ARMY try so hard to help BTS chart high in many countries.

There is something very special about the power of ARMY - BTS story really brings me hope and belief in humanity and society. It is an incredible story and there is still a misunderstanding from the majority of people of what BTS actually means and what are they about. I hope one day they will understand and then nobody will be mocked or shamed for being an ARMY. This fandom is made a miracle happen and I feel very proud of it. It was truly a power of ARMY who made BTS who they are and BTS incredibly grateful for this and try to repay for this love with their music, its such precious that they find inspiration in their fanbase in the same way as they inspire us. It's really kind of connection that didn't exist before in history, very unique and valuable. I also loved to know that the initial idea of Big Hit was " Music and Art for Healing" - oh, it's incredible to know how much they have succeeded

Bts is translated to bulletproof boy Scouts and army is like their shield and we are standing together with them as an army. It also has a meaning, so its even deeper than this im sure other comments will be more in depth than this one but its kinda my view.

I relate so much to what you said towards the end. Bts spread so much joy and positivity in the world that we as their fans feel obliged to spread the love. That is why you have so many fans commenting on everything related to them and recommending their music. I've seen people join twitter, instagram just for bts. People think BTS are overhyped but they deserve everything they have.
RM would read and listen to the negative comments in English and translate them to positive messages for the rest of the members so their feelings would not get hurt. He would keep that pain to himself.

I am an Indonesian ARMY, there's a lot of people here that really into Kpop and BTS. But in general public, people are tend to be sceptical about Kpop even hating on them because the mindset of masculinity and toxic fans. Me myself not really into Kpop before, I just a general listener to any kind of music. But BTS is really tied me into them. Not seeing them as Kpop Idol, but as truly amazing artists. I feel a lot of joy by knowing them and this is a kind of feeling i really want to share to others. But sadly people around me refuse to give them a shot, just because of the public stigma from Kpop. I even often cry when people around me mock them in front of me, because they don't deserve the mock! I hate those stupid narrow minded people, saying them flower pretty boys etc. I wish karma comes to those people, out of nowhere falling in love with BTS, and eat out of the shits they threw to BTS before.

The episodes are really long but its more of something I recommend listening to on your own time. I’ve been an Army since 2013 and its amazing to see how much this fandom has grown and I am glad you have really given BTS a chance because they are for everyone. About their performance in New Years Eve at New Times Square - it's not a wonder that you didn't know, Its breaks my heart but when they were performing - all the camera were switched off and showed the only crown with distant music. It was supposed a big thing for them to share this performance with people, but they were the only performers that were not shown. And they're still getting hate on a weird level. Just last month, days ago, we had to deal with rumors and hate antis and kpop stans threw at BTS, which led to Big Hit having to make an apology statement like 3 times over different things that were absolutely not the boys or the company's fault. And the media always write articles about those rumors.
Antis and kpop stans pray for BTS downfall on a daily basis. They make up rumors and distort facts about BTS to hide the dirt of their own favorite groups. They're all jealous as hell. The worst part is seeing the boys get affected by it, apologizing to us for worrying, promising they'll be better... it's really heartbreaking
I start my day tearing up because of this. I always tears up whenever I encounter this vid, be it reaction or not.
