I am from there my hometown actually the Diner was once there going toward Bridgeport Indiana my grandmother worked for them. I use to live there and so did my parents there no longer with us now but I grew up and went to Plainfield schools and graduated from there in 1985 long time ago everything is changed there I also noticed when I was there over 2 years ago that I did not know it's a Masonic town it's right there in the corner at that light of S. Center St. and W. Main St. Down from the Old Village Theater and my kids went to school there also all 4 did my brother is still there I can't say I don't miss home but I do they need to try to work on the other end on E. Main St and Clark's Creek Rd there clean that up and work on the streets.
I'm not affiliated with this realtor, but I can confirm it's a great place to live, esp for a family. Same for all of Hendricks County really but we lived in Plainfield for 8 years and hated to leave. It's grown a ton since we left in 2006, but we're just there and everything is still so nice. Hummel Park is a true gem, and other parks are nice too. Whether you're single or a family, you can't go wrong here at all.
