    Wonderful car. I’ve done 390 000 at the same model with 1.6 4a-fe. So simple and reliable car. Engine sound is the best among small engines, it’s true.

    Slightly quicker than that 1.6 101 hp Astra, despite the fact that it is a bigger car. Well done Toyota. Opel sucks.

    Never knew why they called them Avensis for more than 18 years and then Camry again..

    • @matizpl8946
      @matizpl8946 Před rokem +8

      Avensis and Camry have always been two, seperate models. Camry has always been a class higher. It just wasn't available in Europe becuase Avensis did suit Europeans more.

      Avensis and Camry are two different cars, the Camry is a bit larger but has an arguably cheaper and worse interior, while Avensis had a better interior and was more suited to the European market (Camry had no diesel options for example) while the Camry was suited primarily for the US and Australian markets.

    You can just tell from the way you are steering that it has that typical Toyota issue that started around this time, where their steering just does NOT self center. Every correction you have to do you have to do twice, once to correct in that direction, and another time to center the steering. It's the reason I got rid of my Yaris.
    Not going to lie, this thing looks like an absolute dog to drive. It will probably never die, but I'd rather walk.

    • @rollingtroll
      @rollingtroll Před 6 měsíci

      And then he has to do the last little bit himself. Every minor correction around the center is a chore with Toyota's of this era. Drive a first gen Yaris or Aygo and you'll see what I mean@DennisBonich
