As a Canadian who met some of the best people they all came from Yorkshire when I lived in Britain 30 years ago. I love their friendly warmth and honesty. And you can’t find a better pint of bitter anywhere else. When Covid dissipates I’m heading over for a holiday holiday
I watch this video on my days off to plan my next mini adventure. The people of Yorkshire are so welcoming and willing to advise on the best places to visit. I enjoy going to different locations within yorkshire. There is so much to see and do here.
This video is just simply great. Every time I watch it, I feel that Yorkshire is calling me back for another min adventure. The people of Yorkshire always give the warmest welcome to travellers.

Dat bridge is The Humber Bridge!!! And dat weared building after is The Deep!!! They are Both in Hull were I lived untill I was 9 then I moved 2 the Dales 5 years later!!! Proud to be Yorkshie!!
Probably because it's a very rural county, and a lot of these rural villages are quite some distance from the wealthier cities such as York and Leeds. There's a lot of farms, and pre-1980s, mines. I'm originally from Whitby in North Yorkshire, and for hundreds of years we've depended completely on the fishing industry, being cut off from the rest of the county by the North York Moors. Even today the public transport links are TERRIBLE, we have 3 trains a day going to Middlesbrough, that's it.
Well, this city is what the most populated city and 3rd most populated state in the States is named after, and it has my favorite type of terrier, ok, I'll come.
RavionUltimate: Yorkshire is not a city. Incidentally, New York City and New York State were named so in honour of James Stuart, Duke of York, later King James II of England and Ireland, and VII of Scotland, rather than in honour of Yorkshire.
@jon I do not support independence for cornwall either btw but I do support cornwall being recognised as a seperate nation to england, as for yorkshire, it is english through and through, one of englands most historical regions and such a integral part of england and english identity whereas cornwall is different as they have never really been incorporated into england and the cornish identify themselves as only cornish and british not english but it's a different story here in yorkshire we see our selves as yorkshiremen and Englishmen first and then british
What an EPIC image this gives of Yorkshire. It makes me so proud to be yorkshire!
