15:00 it actually was based on the Waco seige where many people were burned alive in a massive fire that was set to the building after they tear gased it but most of the gas they used was flamable cuasing the building to burn to the ground

at Waco, the ATF were facing a literal doomsday cult that had set up an end of the world fortified compound with a massive arsenal of weapons
all of which was confirmed beforehand
the poor and bad tactics and screw ups they did not withstanding, the ATF had an actual reason to be in force and to take the threat of the heavily armed and fortified doomsday cult seriously
here it’s a party with no clear evidence of weapons and or a remote heavily fortified compound.
This was part 2 in a 3 part series of connected episodes. All 3 episodes take place on the same night but from different perspectives. I think this is the first time South Park used a story arch to connect episodes together, something they have been doing regularly in more recent seasons.

A Mai Tai is one of the original tiki cocktails. It's always made with rum and simple syrup, but the original Trader Vic's version was made with orgeat and lime juice; the modern ones are made with orange and pineapple juices and grenadine. They're both good.
The song is a parody of Cher's 'Believe.'
The whole ATF thing is a commentary on the ATF's horribly mishandled raid of David Koresh's Branch Davidian compound in Waco in 1993. Despite their repeated lies, the ATF fired first, used emotional torture techniques, and set the compound on fire, resulting in the deaths of most Davidians including women and children. If you're interested in learning more about this, the documentary "Waco: Rules Of Engagement" is really fascinating and uncovers a lot of the deception.

If you watch the TV show Waco...its basically a serious reproduction of the whole ATF incident
anytime agents of the state amass outside a private residence wearing face masks to conceal their identity, it's a dead giveaway they are doing something they are NOT PROUD OF. why else would you hide your identity even though if anyone came up to you while wearing that mask and asked you to identify yourself, as a public employee you would be lawfully required to do so ... rings true more so now than ever. how often do you see your own police employees concealing their face
