It’s crazy to think about how much senna could have achieved had he not passed away, he could have been greater than all before him. And after him..
Maybe, but he still wouldn’t be as great as Fernando.

@@cadet15Senna daria 1 volta na chuva no Fernando
@@dobermanproductions8184 Aston Martin had problems during the year, both Fernando and the team fell back. But he has the same amount of podiums that Perez in the RB has which is 8. Mercedes fixed their car, and were decent, with Hamilton looking competitive while AM were trying for just points. Hamilton wlth more points has only been on the podium the same number of times as Norris has with is 6.
With the McLaren finding itself right before summer break. What does that tell you?
Senna will always be the greatest of all time 🏆
If we analyze the emotion that each of these drivers caused us, Senna is light years ahead of the rest... For me, that's what counts...
Where is Jim Clark ? This list without Clark is simply a bad list. Clark to many drivers was the greatest of them all. He raced in all categories. The only driver to win the F1 championship and Indy500 in the same year. He is still the record holder for most grand slams . Thats pole position, leading every lap , Fastest lap and race win. He has done it 8 times in 72 races. To put it in context Max has done it 3 times in 176 races. Lewis 6 times in 323 races. Schumacher 5 time sin 306 races. Without Clark this list is a travesty.
Agreed, Clark is literally the GOAT.
If Clark is in the list, somebody must be out. Who would be replaced with Clark then?
@@razor_ramon_ Vettel or Alonso. They arent in the same league. Clark would be in the top three.
Calm down, its basically a talking Wikipedia article.
@@razor_ramon_obviously those lower in the list. Moss never won a title - although he was a great driver. Stewart always ranked Jimmy above himself - and Jackie was a great driver. I would rank Jim Clark right up in the top 5 with Ayrton, Lewis, Alain and Michael. Definitely above Niki, Seb and Fernando.
Ayrton Senna without doubt
A survey conducted by British Auto Esporte with 217 Formula 1 drivers and ex-drivers elected Ayrton Senna as the best driver to ever exist in F1. In a survey conducted by the German newspaper "Bild am Sonntag" with 20 active drivers, 12 chose the Brazilian as the best. There are numerous surveys asking top professionals, including drivers like Michael Schumacher, Alonso, Hamilton, Fangio, where they clearly say that Ayrton Senna was the best in the world. The biggest rival of Ayrton Senna in F1 was named Jean-Marie Balestre and the FIA cheated constantly to benefit only European drivers, especially his compatriot Alain Prost who tried to disconnect Ayrton Senna from F1 in 1990. The greatest drivers in the world choose Ayrton Senna , the top professionals in motorsport choose Senna, who am I to disagree?
Active drivers, choose Senna because he only died in '94. Fangio was acknowledged the best by his contemporaries and many others including Senna.
@@johnhill7058Jackie Stewart said it was Fangio and Clark. That's good enough for me.
@@johnhill7058cuz they know he would have won more races and titles if he did not die early. Estimated could be 2, 3, or even 4 more titles, so becoming the 1st 7x champ instead of Schumacher.

@@razor_ramon_Jim Clark should be higher than Lauda, Vettel, Alonso, Stewart and Moss. Not only should he be in the top 10 he should be in the top 5.
If you are comparing pure achievements then yes. But Fangio and Clark just raced against farmers and playboys, they cannot be ranked higher than Alonso, Schumacher, Senna, Hamilton, Lauda, Prost, maybe even Vettel
Not true about Clark. Graham Hill, John Surtees, Jack Brabham, Jackie Stewart and Dan Gurney were all greats - and Clark’s direct rivals.

Well Hamilton has the fastest car during his wins. Unlike Schumacher who only
Has the 2nd fastest car but still beating the Mercedes 🥳
Fangio deserves to be higher on this list
❤️Sennaaaaaaa❤️
There are only 2 correct answers. Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna. For me it's Schumacher but those 2 guys are clearly above all others.

Lewis above Schumi is mental.
1.MichaelSchumacher
Sena Schumacher & Kimi
Hamilton won his first title because McLaren stole material from Ferrari. Later on Hamilton won titles with Mercedes, but without the support of Michael Schumacher Mercedes won't be so competitive. Alonso was right when he said that Hamilton won his championships because he had the best car. Verstappen is 10 times better than him.
Can't comment guys like Clark, Fangio and Ascari as I haven't seen much footage. But from modern drivers I'd say:
1. Senna
2. Prost
3. Schumacher
4. Lauda
5. Hakkinen
6. Piquet
7. Mansell
8. Hamilton
9. Vettel
10.Verstappen / Alonso

You're insane thinking Schumacher was better than Lewis. Even Prost was better than the german
Why anyone doesn't include verstapen

for me Lauda is the greatest. just tell me another driver who won a race without front wings and raced 1 month after burning up and finish 4th
I can not take any top 10 list seriously that says Moss is the best British driver ever, yet lists Stewart and Hamilton higher. That's before we get onto the real undisputed greatest British driver ever. Jim Clark.
Jim Clark not being on this list makes this list bad
My greatest f1 list would be in no particular order would be FANGIO - CLARKE - SENNA - SCHUMACHER. Other drivers i seen but just below are LAUDA - PROST - MANSELL - ALONSO - HAMILTON.
Schumacher with out a doubt
Senna and Alonso, by miles.
Alonso beats Senna as Alonso’s never been beaten by a teammate, and never been beaten in a championship with the best car.
@@cadet15 Alonso was beaten by Hamilton in 2007. Mclaren also finished first in the Constructors in 2007
@@Ellemerob beaten, verb, past tense; Alonso and Hamilton ended level on points at the end of the season. Both second place to Raikkonen. It doesn’t matter if Hamilton was faster in qualifying, or on pole, or whatever. He did not beat Alonso. Ron Dennis advocated for a rookie and not the actual #1 driver who just won 2 championships against Shumacher.
Hamilton was good, for a rookie. He tied with a stifled Alonso. He got beaten by a guy he raced against since teenhood, by a guy he beat twice. He got beaten by a new guy in a team last year, the same team where he won 6 championships. And that same guy is beating him again.
Alonso beat Trulli, Fisichella, Raikkonen, Massa, Vandoore(who beat everyone in F2), Ocon (excluding reliability) and now Stroll. He tied 0-0 with his first ever teammate in a trash car, and 1-1 with Button, Hamilton, and Ocon (including reliability issues). Who has Hamilton beat? I mean flat out….Kovalinain and Bottas? A slow driver and non-racer? Cute for a “7 timer”.

Ayrton Senna drove F1 cars....Hamilton and Verstappen drives big computers on wheels
Name me one driver that has never been outdriven by a teammate at the end of their run at a team.
Alonso outdrove 9 racers, including Massa and Raikkonen. And he drew with three racers, two other world champions Button and Hamilton before he left McLaren twice. And Ocon who he beat in his first season back in F1 and then got beaten because of reliability.
Alonso either settled the score or passed it. No other driver can say the same. 9-3-0 and now 10-3-0 with Stroll.
Loads - Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Prost. Can’t rate Alonso above these as he could only match a rookie Hamilton.
@@brendanbrown3100 the guy is almost 42 beating Lewis in equal engines. The biggest threat to Verstappen, always the biggest threat with a drivable car. Horner said, Button said, etc. Beat champions by large margins like what he’s doing right now with Stroll. Clark also died with 2 world championships. Fernando is the modern day Clark.
@@cadet15 sorry but Clark is on another level. He destroyed every teammate. Alonzo couldn’t beat a rookie - although it was one of the best rookie performances ever. Fangio, Clark and Stewart for me are the immortals. Don’t get me wrong - Alonso is the best of his generation.
@@brendanbrown3100 okay one, McLaren cost both their drivers a championships. Between Spygate and awful management, they put the team in a position where they couldn’t win because they shouldn’t. Alonso was managed unfairly and Hamilton went off at China. And that same rookie who is a 7 timer who has only just started to drive inferior machinery 2022 and he got beat by the new guy at his team. This same rookie is now complaining that dominance is a bad thing every weekend in the media like he’s gonna cry. He keeps calling Alonso old. That rookie is a stain on racing.
Think about it. 8 teams. He beat Raikkonen like how he’s beating Stroll. Worst reliablity rate on the field , like how Jim and Rindt had and it ultimately cost them their lives. In a 4th place car. he was the biggest threat to first consecutive seasons. In an era where dominance wasn’t a thing and it was only you and the machinery, it was easy to show that you’re the best. And it was dumb of someone to deny it.
This era, people like Seb and Hamilton were one trick ponies. Lost without the best car. Alonso won on pure pace. Seb won by track position for half of his championships. I get it, Jim Clark is another level. But so is Fernando. Someone who has never lost to a teammate, and never lost to a teammate in a championship fight, and never lost in a championship when it was possible.
Fernando Alonso didnt come from a racing family or even a rich one. He never had the interest to race and never asked to. His first kart was that of his sister’s that she didn’t want. He started at 3 years old. From that point on, to now, a guy that’s almost 42 is still racing and in form. Spain’s only F1 champion was only a kid who knew how to race before knowing that he wanted to. And Dutch’s only F1 champion is the complete mirror of him.
You have to acknowledge that if Alonso starts winning, and starts or keeps winning championships 3 years from now, he will eventually pass Fangio in being the oldest F1 champion. Those guys embraced racing for what it truly was. They either dug deep or tried with a different team. They stuck it out and Fernando always has done that. People criticize him for his decisions but at times he was the most serious in the field. Fangio switched many times, and so did Jackie. We are watching a reincarnate of a racer from the 50s and 60s. From when he drove laps around in the Ferrari bathtub at Spain to then win the race, it just shows us “what if?”
What if you placed a first generation f1 driver, in todays era. We don’t have to wonder. It’s Fernando.
I dont think its fair in Verstappens case because he had only 1 year of motorracing experience. The step he made was too big but there was no doubt that he would be successful
Max verstappen top 10 now
I would add Kimi and Clark up there

Jim Clark not on the list and Fangio not being 1 or 2 (unless greatness is something else) makes your list a slobbering disgrace. Fangio didn't only win 5 times, but the other 2 ended 2nd. Nobody will probably ever compete with that. Fangio also seen as the driver with the highest ELO, simply making him number 1 or at worst 2.
And Clark. Only racer to win WDC and Indy 500 in one year. Extraordinarily talented and got taken away too soon.
Felipe Massa GOAT 🐐
In my opinion Schumacher is the greatest of all time he could have easily made certain he stayed in the best team year after year to win far more championship than 7 but he decided to sacrifice 5 years of his peak performance to drag Ferrari up to the top where he felt they belonged. Lewis Hamilton had only raced with Mercedes power and never stepped out of his comfort zone played it safe and dropped his head many times when he has been behind his rival .
Schumacher left Benetton because the team was going downwards and he didn't have a place in neither Williams nor McLaren. Then he built Ferrari around himself and enjoyed five years in one of the most dominant cars of all time from 2000 to 2004 thanks to Ross Brawn and with the status of number 1 driver and a number 2 that was told to open up for him every time he came around. When Schumacher arrived in F1 all the greatest drivers of the previous generation were retiring or (in the case of Senna) dying. He did one race with a middle-of-the-field car and already moved to a competitive team. Compare that to Senna, who joined F1 in its most competitive era, with lots of world champions and prospective world champions already on the grid and occupying all the good seats. He had to spent 4 years in uncompetitive cars despite showing enormous talent and when he finally moved to McLaren, he had to share it in equal status with no less than Alain Prost, who was more experienced and was one of the greatest of all time. And when Prost left McLaren and Senna had the car all for himself (wit Berger almost as a number 2), the team coincidentally lost its edge. Senna still managed to win 1990 and 1991. But in 1992-93, McLaren became uncompetitive again. In all all, Senna had a much harder environment to compete against. His circumstances were far more difficult than Schumacher's. And he would still have most certainly won 1994, 1995 and 1996 with Williams had he not died, which means Schumacher would be down to 5 titles and Senna up to 6.
Cool video! But i’d put Jim Clark in first
Jim Clark is certainly top 10 but 1st for a guy who died early and ONLY won 2 championships is a bit weird. He's certainly #1 for grand slams though.

Meanwhile Alonso outdriving all of his teammates/drawing with 3 at every team he’s been to, before leaving the team. Oldest on the grid. Champion. And has never lost to Shumacher, Hamilton, Raikkonen, Massa or Button, never lost in a championship fight, and is still beating his teammate at a new team…..All those other guys can’t say the same.
