I was coming from my neighbors crib across the street and he pulled up on me and asked where I was from.. we chopped it, shook hands and he sold me Mitchy CD.. that mfa CD didn't leave the deck for a long a** time.. that Mfa was bumpin rs... Songs like groupie and etc.. whole album banging. Been a fan of Mitchy Sense.. never met him though..

He was talking about his earlier career stuff. Mitchy’s Hand Gunner mixtapes were gangster as hell, but when he started getting recognition in LA it wasn’t through gang banging music. It was through Strong Arm Steady.

There are two LA rap scenes: The gangsta rap/ G Funk genre and then the J-5, Dilated Peoples, Likwit Crew, Project Blowed, Living Legends, DJ Mugz side of LA rap. Mitchy fell in with the backpack scene and got hella love.
MC Eiht was hip-hop. A lot of people had no choice but to give him his respect when he let off on Pete Rock's album Soul Survivor
