UGANDAN-BANYARWANDA SAGA: SPEAKER SENDS THE PETITION TO THE COMMITTEE ON DEFENSE

The petition relating to accusations by the Council of the Abavandimwe has been referred to the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs.
In the petition presented by the Member of Parliament for Kalungu West Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu, the complainants request Parliament to investigate the alleged segregation and violation of the rights of Ugandan Banyarwanda in Uganda.
This is not a fresh matter in the Parliament of Uganda despite the speaker referring the matter to the committee of Defense and Internal Affairs.

Rwandes should be given permanent residence and limit them in participating in specific activities in uganda. Migration policy should be revisited.
