I was always thankful that my mom ended up getting our Rendezvous over this. I couldn’t image the financial turmoil the family would have been in if they would had gotten the Murano instead. It’s crazy after making the CVT for over 10 years Nissan STILL hasn’t figured it out 😬
@@damilolaakannithat's because of the ratio spread. It got to redline quicker but it didn't rev low on the hwy. Same thing with the 2007 maxima when the cvt was introduced. It revved higher on the hwy than the 5 or 4 spd auto.
I have a 2003 Nissan Murano SL FWD with 273k miles on it. still running great
The beginning of Nissan's downward spiral.
True. Good looks with terrible reliability. It was a trap set by Carlos Ghosn and Renault.

That CVT was made of glass
Have an 09 Murano - 204k miles and counting
This lamb concurs.
That V6 as well, so I've heard. And despite the CVT, it's still a gas guzzler.
@@phoenixbuschannel I think it was just the early years. They later fixed the issues with the engine.

Nissan makes a quality product- No one ever
Their trucks and commercial Vans are great. The cvts definitely not.
Apparently the metal structural components are made of Swiss cheese
The Murano was one of the safest SUVS of its day.
So the shitty CVTs of Nissans are a much older story than I thought. I thought they started putting them in like 2008, not 2003.
I thought that this car was at least a 2009 from the styling
It’s a 1909 in reliability
دعست البنزين في سيارة مورانو
In my city these are all driven by absolutely terrible drivers
