Looking at about 4:18 the plastic flange screw that tightens the flange assembly underneath the sink you have it upside down the flat side should be facing up, I have arrows on mine which way it goes but if it ain’t leaking screw it 👍🏽
@@southbayserg He sure is right..... You may lose seal on that with the vibration eventually.... You got lots of putty so maybe..... but definitely not a proper seal.... I didn't use putty so I'm sure that would be incredibly important for those that don't

What's important to note is that at 3:00, when placing that rubber ring under the metal, rotating mount, you do not seat the rubber ring too high on the plastic drain. If you do, you won't be able to mount the disposal onto the drain!
Exactly what I did for an hour and thought I'd have to hire someone. After reading this I took a second stab at it and it worked finally. That saved me $160 dollars in service fees lol.
I really don't know what is going on with the rubber gasket that attaches mount ring to the sink flange (instead of saying this piece to that piece), but i seeing ridges on the sink flange after twisting on the support ring in your video. I don't see any on my flange after twisting. this makes me think it's the wrong piece
The person who installed mine did it wrong or the fiber gasket was defective. It ate itself away and eventually started leaking. The part you mount the GD to has all this nasty crud on it and I think it may be effecting me being able to take it off. I just can't get it to budge even smacking it with a hammer. Any suggestion?
I’d use a screw driver sometimes the rust/crud makes it super difficult to remove. Making sure you use a flathead inserted into the lower bracket is the best way I’ve been able to replace older models.
Watch out people this waste king sucks we have a new house and it was already installed. I inspected it after we moved in and it was good and done right! But it vibrates so bad the locking slip ring came lose and I work out of town a lot my wife called me and we have a real bad mold problem now
Wow! That sounds like a nightmare! I believe this one came with a beveled end once the bracket sits in place minimal vibration and has been running well ever since 👍

I don't think you need the rubber gasket of you're using putty?
I am sure that on stainless steel sinks you only need the rubber gasket.
only on a stainless-steel sink do you use just the rubber gasket
