7 years ago attempted to install a Garbage Disposal, failed miserably, and had to call someone in to fix/complete the job. Watched your video and was able to do it without any issues! Thank you!!!
Thank you for showing the trick with the two screwdrivers. I looked up a bunch of other videos on how to change a garbage disposal and there was cut right before that moment and cut back right afterwards. That's exactly the moment I was looking for. Thank you.
Wow! Who thought it could be this simple!!! A piece of cake thanks to your detailed step-by-step instructions. Followed along with you and before I knew it I was done! Amazing. No leaks and works perfectly! Thank you for creating this video. So thankful to be able to do it myself. 👍🏻 ☺️
Thanks to you and your expertise DIY video... I just replaced my old garbage disposal with a brand new one... and step by step we did it... (we as in "you and I") Thanks again Adam!!!
Thanks for making this video. I successfully changed my mother’s garbage disposal that has been out of commissions for years. She is so elated. Your video was very clear and straight forward.
Simple, straight to the point. Other video's had extra steps not needed and didn't show simple steps to get the job done (like you don't need to replace the whole Quick Lock mound and just use screwdrivers to loosen the disposer.) Very Helpful. Thxs
Adam, thank you for this installation video. We remodeled our kitchen and of course, it came off easy enough, but putting the disposal back into a naked cabinet was daunting. Having a great look at the hookup was a saving grace as we noticed we were missing a section. Thank you once again for the friendly video.
Thank you for the tips. I am going to add one more. We used the jack from car to help me get the heavy thing in place and positioned correctly. Your video helped me!
Appreciate the part about " ...this was actually a lot more difficult than what it looks like." Don't hear that all too often on DIY televised programs or vid's here on YT. Thanks for that caveat. Good job!
Thank you for this!! I'm removing old and installing a new one tonight. This was the best video I could find on here with easy/quick/step by step instructions for the removal and installation of a new one. New subscriber here! =)
Thanks, Adam! I thought it looked too simple when I was taking the disposal out. I found your video, and I knew it needed to be done how I thought it would. This really helped give me the confidence to just go ahead and do it all myself. Thanks again!
you just make my days Adam! I been trying to get my dishwasher to drain and just found the solution on your video. all i need to do is to knock off that piece of plastic inside the garbage disposal with a screw driver and a hammer for the drain hose to come in from the dishwasher. Thank you very much
Wish i'd seen this before I installed mine -- only video that recommend retightening the screws and turning the disposal "all the way" when installing.
Thanks Adam, you're awesome. This was a great video. I had a garbage disposal put in by my X and what did he forget to do but NOT knock out the plug where the dishwasher hose goes and I used my dishwasher and guess what, ended up with happening, water sitting in the bottom of my dishwasher and water leaking out the bottom of my dishwasher onto my hardwood floors. Not happy with him. I've learned to use CZcams to find how to do your own handy woman things around the house. Not my thing, but under bad situations I'm learning. You were very clear with your video . Thanks for helping me! You should do all kinds of helpful DIY videos!.
Thanks for all of your tips! I bought a garbage disposal after watching your video a few times. My son and I installed it with no issues!!! Thanks and subbed!
Not sure if this makes a difference, @ the 4 min mark instructions usually show rubber O-ring gasket inserted in the discharge outlet first and then secure with the metal ring . You show O-ring around the pipe end .
Outstanding video!. I was able to easily remove my garbage disposal with your instructions. At first it seems like a daunting task but you made it extremely easy.
Really appreciate the clear information and advice on what Not to do. The part where you zip-tied the clearout wrench to the pipe was a cool idea. I’m doing that from now on!
THANK YOU! Great video... I just watched the Home Depot video before this one and the info was so general and vague, I felt nervous about replacing my disposal. Then I saw yours... MUCH better. You answered all my questions in this video. I need to replace my faucet too. You bet I'll be subscribing and bookmarking your channel. Thanks for helping me save money!
This job! Very clear, simple instructions, and pointed out some problems areas and alternatives along the way. Much appreciated! Could you do a video on the different kinds of garbage disposals and why you would go for a $200+ one?
Nice video, straight to the point, great timing and clear picture. Well done sir, thank you for taking the time to show us how to do this stuff. Much appreciated. Please continue to post.
Awesome video! Detailed and easy to follow along. Would be nice to see more videos on bathroom repairs like tub caulking, changing of shower handle and cartridge etc. enjoyable videos to learn from thank you.
I am installing new countertops. Should I remove and reuse the thing that connects the disposal to the sink or purchase a new one? Great video. Thanks.
Thanks man. The hubster and I just did ours and your video was straight to the point. This one and the other one on how to put in the sink ring with the putty. Thanks again for great videos
My Pipes were barley long enough to work in a Bind since I have owned the house ( like 16 years ) I have developed a leak at the disposal. I was redoing the counter tops and apparently the sink is in a tiny bit different position now and that was enough to throw the entire mess off. the disposal works fine - It does a killer job, I bought a new pipe and rubber piece for the outgoing waste and no matter what I do to seal it , it leaks. I have not been able to get it to stop and I have come to the conclusion that the even though the machine works perfectly ( auto reverse and everything ) the place that the rubber seal meets up with is just too ate up to seal. My pipes seem at a slight angle and one even seems a tad short. very weird since It was all working. I guess that gnasty goo That was cleaned out of the pipes was actually holding this crap fest together. 4 re installation's later I give up. I am going to just go buy all new pipes. I have thought of taking a dremmel to the insinkerator opening to see if I can restore the flat surface that is needed for that rubber gasket that goes on to the pipe that is an actual insinkerator part. I am writing to let people know though. these replacement parts, even though they are brand name for the exact purpose. If your disposal is old, even though it still worked. the replacement parts are NOT exactly the same as they used to be. I can see a difference in thickness, bend of the pipe, even the flange size. I suspect it is because of Chinese quality control and lack of attention from the company. My hope is that I can find the black pipe that is used in this video as it looks much nicer than this grungy white type I have. this whole adventure has sucked for me. you would not believe the hours I have spent trying to determine what the problem is here. I hope this saves someone else some time. I didn't want to spend any more than I had to but man, these parts just get old , they look like they should work but I have tried everything and plastic is plastic. I don't think it should cost me more than 40.00 for the dual sink, set up with dishwasher drain hook ups on the second sink ( Not sure why there is two but im not going under teh house to find out either. also mines not hooked to the garbage disposal and I am not changing that either. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for this. Why would you not tap out the knockout plug *before* attaching the new garburetor to its housing? That would avoid having to reach inside to fish it out from inside the garburetor, would it not?
Great video, can you knock the dishwasher plug out and retrieve it before you hook it up? I don't like putting my hand in the disposal to retrieve it later.
Question - is it allowed to run a visible white wire in a kitchen cabinet at all? For example a transformer for LED below the kitchen sink? Danger from possible leaks and mechanical damages?
Adam, @4:10 you lift the unit up & attach the rotating ring. looks simple. i'm not able to get the unit to rise high enough for the ring to attach. almost, but not quite. what might be obstructing its rise?
Dishwashers should ALWAYS have an air gap installed. The dishwasher should never be directly connected to the drain. If the dishwasher drain tube ever falls below the top of the sink then there is the possibility that dirty water can drain back into the dishwasher.
Thank you for this great video. It all looks easy except for the electrical wiring part. Do any garbage disposals come with the electrical already installed? I am terrified of anything electrical. Please advise.
primarily you use them for the excess sludge in your sink, not to grind food. I just thow bones and left over stuff in the trash. simple! unless you have a (working) dishwasher there is no reason to get the biggest and best disposal! if washing by hand the purpose of these is to save you from general drain stop ups! not to grind food.
Wow! Your step-by-step instructions made replacing the garbage disposal easy as baking a cake. Thank you

Thanks for making this video. I successfully changed my mother’s garbage disposal that has been out of commissions for years. She is so elated. Your video was very clear and straight forward.
Watched like 5 videos on replacing a garbage disposal and gotta say by far the most easiest and detailed to understand 👍
Simple, straight to the point. Other video's had extra steps not needed and didn't show simple steps to get the job done (like you don't need to replace the whole Quick Lock mound and just use screwdrivers to loosen the disposer.) Very Helpful. Thxs
Thank you adam. It's been 6 years since you put this video up and it's still very helpful to people.
Taking the plug out was next to impossible. Had to run to the store and buy a new one. Thank you for doing this video. It was so helpful!
I watched several on this disposal replacements and by FAR you were the best one. Thank You
Adam, Many friends said this was an easy replacement. With your great video and instructions it was a snap. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Great video - was able to replace our garbage disposal very easily. My mom is extremely thankful for it!

your video is 10x more better and realistic than home depots and others. thanks bro. appreciate you.
Thank you Adam, I changed my garbage disposal in around 30 minutes, after see your video.

I literally thought I'd have to hire a electrician and plumber. Looks like I'm a disposal installer now! Thanks for the video!
Thanks Adam, you're awesome. This was a great video. You made my life so much easier by this video. Easily explained, great video angles and I'm using my sink again! Thanks for the help.
wow, just about to replace one BUT would have never thought of the dishwasher knock out plug......Very helpful....thanks
Thanks for a simple yet descriptive video. The dishwasher plug had me go through a few nervous moments but all was well in the end.
Thank you for this useful video. It saved me $125 on installation fees. I did it myself using your video 😊👍👍👍👍👍
You made it seem alot simpler than other videos....Thanks

Ive got a badger 1. And had it for 15 years now!

Thanks Adam! With your help I had my disposal changed out in about 15 minutes! Awesome!!
That is really fast! Nice work!
Perfect. Just installed a new one, as mine was leaking at the bottom and tripping the GFCI. Thanks a million!
It's been a while since I had to install a disposal. Nice refresher. Thanks!
This job! Very clear, simple instructions, and pointed out some problems areas and alternatives along the way. Much appreciated! Could you do a video on the different kinds of garbage disposals and why you would go for a $200+ one?
Thank you sir!! You removed the stress of installing away with this video. Salute!!
This was the best video online because my situation is identical to this one. Thank you very much for your help. You made it a piece of cake.
Thank you very much after watching this video I got my garbage disposal change
Thank you! This helped me change out my disposal in about a hour!!! So grateful!
Thank you! Thorough, clear video and easy to follow. Exactly what I need.
Just fixed mine...it took us three days but we literally had no tools....very informative we had to improvise on some parts but overall a good video
That is a nice technique to torque down onto the 3-screw mounting bracket... did not think of putting the screw driver in there to get leverage.
Nice video, straight to the point, great timing and clear picture. Well done sir, thank you for taking the time to show us how to do this stuff. Much appreciated. Please continue to post.
Oh wow....screwdriver method worked beautifully!
Very helpful video, especially since I was installing the exact same disposal!
Thanks for the Help, your video made my new garbage disposal possible
