I had this video done and scheduled before I heard about Bluedrake's. Whatever evidence he has, I hope the devs take care of that individual and he gets removed. I also hope they take their Discord mod recruitment more seriously. Even if they're not paid, mods are a very public face of a company on Discord and shouldn't be assumed to follow the rules.
I still think the game is going to be good based on the record Antimatter and the devs Blue Dot hired.

What’s funny is that individual I’m pretty sure apologized to BD but I don’t think he will be removed.
Bluedrake made a misinformation post about '83 development budget, then got criticized for it by a certain person.
Then after game was resurrected Bluedrake comes back 9 months later when said person becomes moderator and then makes a video framing both developers and moderators in negative light. Its even worse considering Bluedrake made it worse by hiding time at which messages were posted.
So please don't make such announcements that discord mod recruitment should be taken more seriously when this clearly isn't the problem and is solely on Bluedrake who cant take criticism.

Agreed, Squad can be a lot of fun, but Rising Storms 2 Vietnam style of gameplay can be enjoyed a little more freely, whilst Squad requires you to actually try and be a team player, which I am really happy to do during weekends, but god damn when I come home from college I just wanna blast some people and not deal with comms haha

rising storm 2 and red orchestra 2 are two of my favorite games of all time, when I heard that '83 got cancelled I was immensely disappointed, but when I heard that the game was being revived I was super happy, I really.. REALLY, hope this ends up being good.
Waited a Red Orchestra 3 announcement for so long... I don't get that why Tripwire hate this series so much.

I played a lot of Red Orchestra, RO2, Rising Storm, and RS2 over the years. I'm glad that Antimatter is spiritually back from the dead. I was very sad to see EG7 shut them down. Hoping that everything goes well and we can get the '83 we all anticipated 5 years ago.

Tbh. The one thing this video urks me about, is the fact that it leads you to believe that antimatter had a hand in any of the previous games past Vietnam. The real devs of the series (RO1, RO2, Rising Storm, Vietnam) is Tripwire Interactive. Why the video doesn't really address them or give them credit is to what I assume to be for simplicity of the audience.
Sandstorm has the same stop mid reload system. Its a nice feature to have

I think its a great name. I believe its a callback to The Third World War: August 1983 by General Sir John Hackett.
I wanted '83 so badly. If anyone hasn't and thinks they might be interested in a fictional non-nuclear conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact states, please read Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy. Published 1986. It's so interesting to read nowadays (in addition to being an absolute banger of a war novel). The F117 hadn't been revealed yet, even though everybody knew the US had a stealth aircraft. Clancy's interpretation of what he thought it might and how it would be deployed doctrinally is fascinating.

That's awesome man, that feeling of sweet nostalgia. I was a 2010's veteran involved in a comparatively low intensity conflict, but even using an M16A2 and M9 in games brings back sweet memories.

This is phenomenal news to me. RS2 is easily one of my favourite, if not my absolutely favourite FPS game of all time. I was disappointed when ‘83 was canned so hearing this is awesome.

I'm so hyped to see Chieftains, maybe even late era Centurions, and M60s go up against T-62s, T-64s, probably T-72s, while we call in air strikes with Tornadoes/Su-24s, and gun runs with A-10s/Su-25s.
Gun fights are also gonna be so satisfying with FALs and AKs so prominently featured, it's gonna be like AUS vs PAVN in RS2 on steroids every match.
So excited to play this I loved RS 2

The Commander gameplay is an addictive loop that never gets tiring
in my honest opinion, they could copy the older Rising Storm (ww2 one) and change a few things around, and voila! that game still holds up to this day and age in terms of gameplay and graphics

This sorta reminds me of several different things that happened to games getting cancelled. Some make it back through actions like this. It's encouraging to see. Unfortunately one closer to my heart has recently been cancelled. I can only hope it's picked up again somehow. The sequel to the multiplayer called Factions included with The Last of Us remastered from Naughty Dog was in development for years and was in playable form. Unfortunately Naughty Dog announced that the game was not going forward. I felt like the statement from the company was disingenuous and divisive concerning the matter. They said they could become a live service studio just supporting the multiplayer or they could continue making single player experiences. The first Factions was not a live service and was included with the single player. This was back in 2014. The player base wanted the same type of experience of the first game in a sequel. I believe Sony and Bungie made the decision to make it a live service and ultimately ended the project as they couldn't be guaranteed a success like Fortnite or other live service games. It seems like a waste as it could have been sold as is and not as a live service. They already had a playable game that by their own admission was fantastic. The statement of an either single or multiplayer studio imo in a non equivalency statement and turned fans of both the single player and multiplayer against each other and diverted criticism from the studio.

I’m hopeful EG7 game brushes off the dust from this shelved project and gets it home. If this game launches with destruction like they showed off while running well, this game has a chance to be very successful since Battlefield doesn’t itch my destruction fix like that franchise once used to.

the thing these games stand out is that the amount off censorship and real depiction off war when it comes to brutality and sound design is insane. You don't feel like a hero at all , RO2 is also very guilty off this , you hear people gurgling , your soldier crying out off fear and all kinds off death screams and call outs. It made you aware how bad it must have been and that the game even for a video-game made it feel very personal.
I just want a remake of the old games :(

I thought this would be Soviet-Afghan war, since I assumed they would continue the asymmetric warfare in what you call a "Sequel to Rising Storm 2". This late Cold War NATO vs. Warsaw setting isn't particularly interesting to me, but I didn't care about the Vietnam War before RS2 either, so as long as the gameplay is solid I guess I might like it. I hope they continue the campaign mechanic from RS2 with different maps for each region and changing factions and weapons over the years.
