If you have any more questions about hedgehogs let me know in the comment section below! I'll be more than happy to answer or put up more videos about them in the future. Stay Natural!

Omg, her coloring is so cool 💛
She was very unique! The breeder I got her from said that she would have kept her if she couldn't find someone to adopt her right away because she was so unique. She also has one red eye and one brown eye!
love this video thanks for uploading i get mine 2nd jan 2021 im so excited
Thanks, great video, lots of info
I want a hedgehog now omg hehe
You should totally get one! They are awesome pets
I actually feed my hedgies Hedgehogs and Friends. It is actually a food, shampoo, cleaning supplies, ect.
How often do you have to buy your hedgehogs food?🙂🦔
Holly Woolford every month for a regular bag cause I only use a table spoon
I use 3 different brands of food and mix it all together and I keep the bags in a nice space so they stay fresh. Some people don’t like the cat food and prefer more of a natural way of feeding which is also an option but that requires more time and prep. My breeder used cat food and then changed to more natural food so it’s up to you and what you think is best.
Don’t u use bedding for small animals
I prefer making a nice squishy little mat for them, it helps keep them warmer and it’s very absorbent and is easy to clean. Sometime bedding can get stuck on them and irritate them especially if you use the wrong kind. But some wood bedding can be open to mites and those will hurt the hedgie if not careful
hiiiiiiiii
Whats there diet
Dry cat food! And the occasional fruits, veggies, and bugs that are ok for them. You can find the food that’s best for then online as well as the kind of human food that would be ok for them (as snacks though) personally I use Fromm good cat food and every now and then I put meal worms in there.
with your heat lamp being on the open top you do know heat rises so probably just going straight out of the top?
Isabelle Ward it’s a heat lamp , it’s doesn’t just throw out heat it shines a bright light which is heat.
It’s a Che lamp so no light just heat
Since it’s a ceramic heat lamp, all it does is produce heat and send it out, I also have a hedgehog friendly heating pad on the bottom of the floor to keep her warm too! I even use two different thermometers to regulate the heat as well. It actually keeps it pretty toasty for her in there!
I heard that heat pads are no good for hedgies. I'm just researching still though
Hello! Thanks for watching the video, and yes you are right in a sense, as a lot of heating pads can reach temperatures of 100-120 degrees which is way too much for these little guys. That's why I bought a special heating pad that only heats up to a max of 90 degrees and I kept it underneath the thick mat that I made for her so it would never be directly on her skin. I typically keep my house pretty cool so I needed the extra heat to make sure that she's comfortable, I also check the temperature of her cage throughout the day so I can make any changes that are necessary to keep her warm enough. Hope this helps!
Thermometer?
Yes! I use two thermometers to check on the temperature of her cage. Hedgies cages should stay between 75-85 degrees although 80-85 is a safer bet! They are African Pygmy hedgehogs so they need constant warmth or else they may try to hibernate which can be VERY dangerous and life threatening to them
did u ever watch tory lynn
Yes! I did actually, she was one of the main youtubers I watched to help me make a decision on if I wanted a hedgehog or not!
@@naturallynatevids same lol
how long have you had your hedgie for?
She just turned one in November! So she’s over a year old now!
