Making custom lighted signs with Compress UV Printers and the right LED light frame is simple, fast and can be VERY profitable.
Custom lighted signs are used a wide variety of applications, and their size and placement is a perfect application for the problem-solving Compress iUV1200s flatbed UV Printer.
    (compressuvprinter.com/iuv1200...)
    Here are just a few:
    • Menu boards
    • Directional Signage
    • Special Event Signs
    • Hotel Lobby Signs
    • Bars and Restaurant signage
Anywhere where your customer has the need to produce high quality well-lit full color signs provides a great opportunity for you.
Sign businesses like yours can use the Compress UV Printer to print digital graphics onto acrylic or Lexan-type materials that can easily be used in a custom lighted sign frame.
During this video, you’ll see us back print an 18” x 24” piece of Lexan-type material in full color. Then slip it into a RazorLyte Econo LED frame. This type of LED backlit frame is great for this application because it’s so easy to change out the graphic.
So you can simply buy 1/8” pieces of appropriately sized material, print the new sign - a backlit menu board in the video demonstration - and give to your customer for a quick change. And a quick charge!
The business case is simple: provide the frame and the first graphic, then whenever they need an update you can simply print the next, and the next. It’s the razor/razorblade idea for signage!
At the heart of this application is the Compress iUV1200s of course.
The iUV1200s will allow you to print up to the bed size of 44.813” x 29.5”, which is ideal for most custom lighted sign applications. Big enough that you could print multiple signs at once depending on the dimensions.
But the Compress UV Printers are problem-solvers - which means you can use them in multiple sign printing applications on a variety of materials like:
    Printing wooden signs
    Metal Signs
    Acrylic
    ..and more.

I want to test this on my uv printer. What material did you do the print on? Where could I purchase it? Also, do you have a supplier for the light box?

Why does ColDesi not stand behind the print heads and the print distribution system in their machines? Why is this excluded in the warranty?

Guessing that maintenance and user machine treatment has lots to do with print head life.

@@edwardr5084 Definitely. It has to be cleaned when the machines is turned on, throughout the day, at the end of the day, and weekly, according to a couple of different methods. You can only do so so much maintenance when the print head keeps dropping entire colors. The capping station the printheads rests over is only held in place by a small rubber band. The design to flawed. The machine we have was treated professionally, and with close attention to detail. I WOULD BUY THIS MACHINE AT YOUR OWN RISK, BUT THE RISKS ARE VERY HIGH AND COME ABOUT VERY OFTEN.
