  • I am sorry for not posting anything in a while. I was not feeling well enough, both emotionally, and physically, to record and edit any videos. However, I am still here, and still fighting this cancer battle. Even though I really did, want to quit. This video was made before Christmas, while I was still in high spirits. It just took me a really long time to edit. Side note- This is Part 2 of this video.
The video is about my first treatment of this, rarely used chemo, called Halaven (Eribulin). The reason it is rarely used is because it is only given to people whose Breast Cancer is metastatic, and have already received at least 3 other types of anticancer medicines, after the cancer has spread. I have had way more than that.
Anyway, I was scheduled to have a dose every week, for 2 weeks, then one week off. Which will equal one cycle. In this video, I take you with me, along with my son Christian, to get my first dose of this new (to me), chemo. And at the end of this video, I also give my results to the clinical trial, that my Doctor and I discussed in a previous video titled "December 2019 Onco Appointment (Not Looking)" Good).
To learn more about my cancer history, please continue to read the following...I was originally diagnosed back in 2010, with stage 3b ER/PR positive, HER2 neg Breast cancer in my left breast. After about 2 1/2 of active treatment, I went back to full time work, with scans and dr visits every 3 months. From this time, till 2015, I was closely watched by my treatment team, and I had no KNOWN, sign of Cancer. However, by the middle of 2015, my blood levels stopped getting better, & started to go in the other direction. I also kept getting sick, to the point were it was greatly effecting my ability to work. So in October 2015, my boss put me on medical leave. I then got sicker, I kept getting misdiagnosed till Jan 2016.In Feb 2016, I was diagnosed with a rare terminal melanoma. with no skin involvement. After chemo failed, a combo immunotherapy treatment was approved. I had infusions every other week, which kept me stable till Feb 2018. My normal 3 month scan showed that I had 2 new small nodules in my lungs. This, they believed, was my Melanoma starting to grow again. But they decided to continue with treatment, and repeat scan in 3 months. However, a week after my Feb 2018 scan, my daughter noticed a new lump on my chest wall. It kept getting bigger. So a scan was ordered for the last week of March. This scan discovered a new chest wall tumor, plus a few other tumors. After a biopsy, they diagnosed me with a new, (possibly mutated) form of Breast Cancer. This time I was diagnosed with Metastatic (terminal) Triple Negative Breast cancer. Although my doctor insists that it is a totally different Breast Cancer from the first breast cancer, that was ER/PR pos, HER2 Neg. Because this one was ER/PR neg, and HER2 neg, aka Triple Negative. From that point on, I have been on a number of different oral, and IV chemo's and I even had 2 different types of Radiotherapy for pain on that tumor, and some under my arm, for pain, in Nov 2018. Thank God this did shrink the tumors a bit. However, the chest wall tumor got really infected, and is now a painful, messy stinky ulcerating cancer wound, with a bunch of small tumors surrounding it. Many of these chemo's did slow down the growth of my cancer for a bit. But it always started to grow again. Including Doxil ( Doxorubicin Liposomal) or "The Red Devil" that I had started in September. Thank God, that chemo didn't cause hair loss though. (Gotta take joy in the positives, no matter how small. Right?) But unfortunately, I now have many permanent side effects, from all of these chemo's. The cancer I have is Stage 4 triple negative, but Androgen positive. So hopefully, there is a clinical trial targeting Androgen. It would be my hope for living longer. In the meantime, I have been trying to get my ulcerating cancer wound, (my formerly radiated chest wall tumor), to heal, and praying that God helps me see just what I need to be doing, as far as treatment goes. I have already been on all 1st, 2nd and 3rd line chemo's. But my I won't stop trying to fight this. Which is why I am trying chemo's that that have more side effects, and are not known to work as good. I know that this was a quick explanation of my cancer story thus far. If you would like a more detailed description, I have made 2 videos about my story. Please feel free to watch them. And, feel free to ask questions.

I see that you are so happy with the results you had with the wound care. I would love to help you again, but it would be nice if more.people could ship in. So, I just shared your story with Ellen. I hope she can help you. Maybe they have sponsors in the medical field that can provide you with supplies. It doesn't hurt to reach out. Maybe we get lucky. Who knows?

@@charles1413 On February 15, she put up an Instagram "story" (the stories disappear after a day or so, but I made a note of it.) She said she had just got home from being in the hospital - and it was a cute video of her kids goofing off, her oldest son wearing a long wig and singing/dancing, along with her daughter, there at their home, I assume that day (the 15th).

Please see my comment below . I rarely post a link on here and thought it wasn't working until I posted it and it lit up. I hope it's the correct link after attempting to post the it several times. I also listed the title of the video so that should help if the link is a problem.
