      Hey man, I dont think the audio is bad. I was trying to determine if the apple Lighting to 3.5 audio adapter supports microphones or not. From my testing my OEM lighting to 3.5 adapter doesnt seem to work on any of my 3.5 lavalier mics. I just got in the rode videomic pro and it has TRS connection so Im getting an adapter for that, then was thinking I would pick up this light adapter as well as its says its optimized for microphone recordings. How have to found the quality through this connector? Do you have an Apple lighting to audio adapter to confirm if that works or not? I'll use your affilaite link for the adapter and will drop you a sub!

      Hey so I have had both, microphones that use trs cables and ones that use trrs connections. The movo vxr10 I have is one where I specifically needed to pick up this trrs to lightning adapter. If the poles on your microphone only add up to two it is a trs cable and you might not need this one specifically but another trs to lighting adapter instead (which is typically the basic headphone type adapter cable). I've found MOST external mics to have trrs connections though.

      The Rode Video mic pro has as a TRS connector so I’m going to convert it to TRRS and then use the novo adapter into the iPhone

    A little late, but just to clarify your audio connector types, TRRS is actually a 4 pole connector (four brass bands on the plug) and TRS (often called a stereo plug) is a three pole connector. Microphones may have a TRS or a TRRS connector. Headphones with a microphone for example use a TRRS plug.

    I got some cordless Mic's a while back and never could figure them out with Android I gave up and I was looking for a different option I see that pile has a couple and I think you have to get an adapter to run in between the phone and Mic.. but thank you for the video my friend 💚😎👌🏼💨💥🤙🏻🤙🏻

    Apparently you can use the inexpensive official Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter for this. Can anyone confirm the Apple cable actually works with TRRS mics, headsets, etc?

      Nice! Yeah just look at the end of the pin on your lav mic and if it is a TRRS, you should be good to go!

    Did you have to buy the adapter seperate or did it come when you bought the mic?

    • @ConciseTechTV
      @ConciseTechTV  Před rokem

      The adapter cable and the microphone were two separate purchases from different brands. Movo (this cable manufacturer) does make their own similar microphones though so it is possible they might have them packaged together in a deal.

    Hello, I want to connect the iPhone XS Max to the irig 2 to receive the music from the inside, but I can't, or maybe I need this cable?

      Hey yes this should allow you to adapt it to the lightning port on your phone. As long as the app still pick it up I would think.

    Does it work on the mini TikTok mics? It was a TRRS end to it

    Does it work with a Deity Microphone?

    • @ConciseTechTV
      @ConciseTechTV  Před rokem +1

      I would look at your connector on the Deity - if it has the TRRS on the end then it should.
