Two facts about the pinkbike field test
1. The intro is sick
2. Most of us can't afford the bikes
If we could afford them we would be out riding them and not watching the videos on them
1.Thanks.
2. We have a value bike Field Test in the works - stay tuned.
Says the guy who's handle is "$1500 Road Wheels" hehe :P
What are you on bud the intro is awesome
Just bought the bike . The one and only time I’ll ever just buy for wants rather than my needs
4K for a frame? LOL.
This sport and market are getting a bit too hot!
Wow a bargain 😂
Especially when you can buy a Canyon Strive and Torque frame for 2.7k
"..much of its assembly and manufacturing is done at overseas facilities in Taiwan. This supply method helps Yeti keep expenses low".
just discovered your channel... love it so far!
Goof around and have a good time for 7 grand lol
$12k in Canada
@@EthanAdey same here in Australia
$7,700 usd
Compare that with what drinkers & smokers spend over five years, and the sacrifice [for ex.: longevity] takes on a different character.
@@StankFernatra$5500 cad a year just in smokes alone
How do they get away with such low pressures in the tires.
I run cushcore and dh cassing and any less than 25 psi rear I get squirm in corners and dings runs....
How are you measuring the pressure? A gauge on a pump? After buying a calibrated pressure gauge I realised that the 27psi I run in the back (as read on the pump) is actually 22 psi.
It's a topeak digital tire gauge
@@joelirving9292 Strange. I am about 190lbs kitted up and run 22 out back with a cushcore and exo+ without much issue. I get the occasional hit that gets some rim noise, but overall no issues.
I'm 75 kg which google says is 165 lbs and it goes something like minimum of 25 dh and cush core the 28 with a dd or enduro cassing at the good old 32 for exo and still dent the occasional rim with the dh setup just something I have to live with I guess
Lots of factors at play; bike you're using, rider experience, trail characteristics, line choices, rim material, etc...
What's your rim/tire combo?
its the bike im looking at getting. good review! yall have help solidify my choice
Wen need a 165 shootout yeti vs revel vs guerrilla gravity vs nukeproof
Jorge Nunez yesssss! Revel Rail!
Thanks Guys !! Amazing Field Test 2020 !!
So glad you kept my Yeti for the end !!
I bought mine without even trying it... But just received it the day it started to snow here damn IT ! !
I bought mine without demoing it, and I'm more than happy with it.
Colton Massey ....
Me too Man !! Can’t wait to go try it !!
Yo can I ask what size you and colton here bought? Im looking at one and on the fence between M and L
@@SnowShackboy
For me I took medium at almost 5’7
But I would choose a small if start back
A small sb150 propably
What weight of coil did Jason Lucas run on the rear shock when he tested the SB165? I see in the video where Mike mentions running a 400lb/in coil.
Any chance of You guys reviewing the new canyon torque?
Sick bike. Love it. Sana All
@pinkbike compared to the revel Rail 27.5?
Dope
Finally got one !!!! 😁😄😃
Im love your bikes cool
Would This Be ok For RED BULL Hardline race?
walmart needs to up their selection of FS bikes..i can't 'afford this stuff.
Where do people get the idea that 27.5 aren't as fast as 29ers. I have yet to see the data. Everything I've read or watched is anecdotal at best and just opinions. The somewhat decent treats done are so marginal at best that it's not conclusive. 29ers on xc makes sense but when maneuverability matters the bikes converge on time.
I’m probably getting this is the price tag on this thing really worth it
hmm geiles teil!!
I didn't think it would be so agonizing trying to find a bike. Does it have too much travel or not enough. is it too slack or not enough. is this geometry right for everything I want to do. price isn't really and issue, availability might be.
after watching literally every DC, enduro, all mountain and XC bike reviews, I'm in exactly the same spot I was before I watched them. ill never be able to ride everyone of them to decide so I guess I just rent all the ones I can find til I find what I want.
get review gentleman!
Same here haha. Just ended up getting the 165 and I don’t regret it one bit
@@GeeCeeAte Can I ask what your height is and what size youre rockin? Im looking at one right meow
Can you guys and girls possibly get the Geometron G1 (or Nicholai variant) in for test please? I'd really like to see what you think. Thanks.
Lmao about a couple months too late
noah carder. Not really. It doesn’t have to be for now though smart arse!
@@chm1701 okay Boomer
noah carder. Cretin.

what song?
How does this handle vs the Transition Patrol?
Tried these back to back this summer... The Patrol definitely feels more playful and easier to throw around where as the 165 interestingly felt a bit more burly and racey; probably due to the lower stack height/ bar rise specced and the coil shock. Didn't get a chance to try one of the new coil shock bound Patrols to get a closer comparison.
@@Dridgeism I own an sb150 and get to demo many bikes at my local bike park. I recently demoed a new Patrol and it was so much fun, it felt light and playful yet very planted and railed corners. It also jumped so well. I can't get it out of my head how awesome if felt. Being a yeti owned I really want to demo a 165 but can't get the Patrol out of my mind .
@@symmetricon1982 Yeah I'd like to try the 165 again with a different cockpit setup...the XL bike I rode had a 15mm rise bar nearly slammed so it kinda forced me into a pretty aggressive position, whereas the XL Patrol had a much more reasonable 40 mm rise bar. Crazy how much difference a handlebar choice can make a bike feel. Either way if you currently own a 150 you could expect a fairly similar ride quality... just with smaller wheels and a bit more travel.
Super Video Pinkbike like always =) Happy Holidays everyone 🎄🎅🎉
Anyone know the End Song on 7:29 ?
this vs the 2020 Nukeproof Mega 275 Factory which is way cheaper, guys?
jason83ok this i have had both and I love the yeti
@@mtb-lifemtblife1637 you are very fortunate.
Love me some Yeti! Nate Hills just did his build up with a DH fork, and even shouted out Pinkbike a couple times!😂 Speaking of pink bikes, I just got a Surly Ice Cream Truck and did some vids on it! I need a Pinkbike sticker for this bike😜
how to avoid the seat from going up ya ass on landing from jump????
I dont know how people run less that 25 psi in their tires. I'm pretty much always 30+ psi. Maybe if it was soaked out I would run 27-28 in the front
Finnallllllyyyyy praise Jesus Christ lord and savior

PINKBIKE BRING BACK THIS INTRO!!!!!!!!! The new ones suck.
Awesome ! Wow !!! Looks magic, it looks the super bike, nimble & planted at the same time & it looks like it will take you pretty much anywhere that you want to go ! Up or down 👍😎🌲🌲☃🌲🌲😃i'd Run DD on the rear & TR + on the front i'm 6 ft &'82 kilo's so tire pressure for me i ride 25 rear & 23 Front ! Then good to go ! No cush core needed for me !!! 👍
why don't you do a hardtail category
but does it djent
That chain slap tho
Dude blew through front and rear travel on the slow-mo huck-to-flat. Up that spring rate.
Too spendy but shoutout to this dudes cauliflower ear, homeboy knows his way around a mat or canvas.
Super funny comment.
7.7k and it comes with Alloy wheels????
Yeti life...
It’s a free ride bike
Carbon rims suck though.
If this is not a race bike, then the yeti team is too good to touch for enduro.
I watched them slay trestle this summer the week before this bike was announced
i dont like the springseven no j think there better that spring invention has never changed that spiral metal works perfect hydraulic suspention is much harder it needs alot of force 2 move it so the quick little bumps it duz not add them so the bikes taking that force
"Rece bike" doesn't exist. If you fell more confortable with the yeti sb165 you w'll be faster than with the sb150 at least in the descend part
The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
7:20 I’m not too sure that’s the symbol mate😂
Kazimer has a very misterious andcomplex sense of humor, keep watching and you ll get it.
but switch infinity links are terrible if you dont service them every 10 rides. could never get a yeti for this reason
I would disagree with that. Everyone I know that rides Yetis including me have never had issues with them. Also "servicing" them consists of making sure they're clean and giving them some grease occasionally which you should be doing with your bike anyway, regardless of brand.
@@tarekrahim I've seen 3.in my bike shop and 2 of them needed the switch infinity links replaced. They need a cover, such a simple fix. Get a santacruz instead.
disagree. my sb5c is over 5 years old, thousands of km...and i only service the switch once every 7-8 months....longest was a year between service. Have never heard of a switch failing among my local rider groups, and we have tons of yetis
@@leoelkins3664 Santa Cruz are great bikes too, the mega tower is sick. I think Yeti has a lifetime warranty on the links, regardless of year. Plus if the switch infinity links are so faulty why has Yeti continued to produce them and expand on the platform? Regardless, whatever makes you happy on the trails should be your weapon of choice, for me it's a 5.5.
tarek rahim 5.5 is sick
I wish that there will be 29 inch version
Sb150 is the 29" version.
If they made a 29er of it they would prob drop the travel back to 150 which is then just a sb150 29er
But ya same I wish they did
Sam hill edition 29er mega is 165mm r and 180mmf
Joel Irving I didn’t know that, that’s one sweet bike tho
The reason the sb165 is 15mm more travel is to compensate for the smaller wheels
2% and 1% LOL! Can’t judge the bike on margins like that, that’s the difference between missing a gear and not.
Is it really a bike review if they don’t say ‘Burly’
journalists talking about their fastest time comparisons. Always makes me laugh.
I mean - they are good riders. But I get the point. This wholse series isn't really that in depth...
so its a santa cruz nomad 3 SIIIICCCCKKKK
Mike, do you blink?....
7700 no mountain bike is worth that lol not a chance
Well I made it to 38 seconds before seeing the price and clicking off.
Cons: it's fun, and not a boring "race" bike. How is that a con? Lol
