- Let's take a deep dive on a 10 minute session of aircraft departing and arriving at a Class D, towered airport, to get some practice listening to and understanding air traffic control communications.

As per usual the ATC speaks a lot faster that needed and required. Very fancy.
KDVT has great controllers. Fun hearing them on here.
Listen in on KPAO during a nice day on the weekend. ATC is so good there and it gets nuts.
Thank you fr this video. so far I've been to 5 class d airports and my comms are getting better. what surprised me wasn't entering, maneuvers, departure comms, but taxiway comms lol. I frickin struggle with read backs for taxiing instructions, even writing it down. I've been bringing up the airport diagram and jotting down instructions, but its a struggle for me lol.
Ha - I feel ya.
couldn't you do a progressave taxy? i feel like that would help some. (still new myself but ive herd you can do that)
@@FurbyOfDeth at the time I didn't even know that was an option. My cfi acted like he wasn't even in the plane, just looked outside his window whenever I looked at him 🤣
These are great can you post a video of IFR approaches to an airport?
reminding my ppl. lovely controller and hell for the sp. but once through ppl there so proud and confident.
Thank you for this video, lots of good information.
I'm prepping to start my ppl journey...my home airport is KORL a D under the class B orlando airspace..i'm very intimidated already lol. Been listening to the tower and watching the ADS-B exchange. Majority of turns called by ATC and asking for 360's for spacing frequently
Starting training at a towered airport will serve you well. It becomes second nature really quick for people at their home airport.
I train out of a non-towered airport and generally do all of my pattern work at non-towered. I'm completely comfortable calling my own traffic and everything but calling ATC is still very unnatural for me. I've heard it's the opposite for people starting with a tower.
Great video.
Dziękujemy.
Rzeczywiście bardzo pomocny film.
Which software is this??
Tracking looks like foreflight sentry
You should do KFRG during peak time. That place is a zoo! Sometimes id have to extent for miles before being able to turn base.
Sometimes I’m waiting an hour just for take off at KFRG
it was epic
