      We made that video a couple of years ago. Jase is still using his Givi luggage almost daily. Seems pretty solid to me. Enjoy it 👍🏻

    Great video guys! Givi done a good job with the mounting kits on these it looks like. One video I came across some time back made me think this was going to be a half a day affair to get the top case and pannier brackets on the bike, but looks more like an hour.

      We fitted a set on the CRF 1000 and the rear rack was a nightmare. Luckily the CRF 1100 is super easy both the rear rack and pannier frames are very easy to fit.

      @@GreenString It may have been a CRF1000 even that I watched the one install on that wasn't smooth going and seemed to be a lot more involved process.

    Excellent work! I have to install the same kit to my Africa Twin soon! One question... Where did you buy what it seems a "relay' box" installed under the rear seat?

      Hi, it’s my mates bike so I’ll respond on his behalf. If I recall correctly he picked it up a car specialist electrical shop, it may have even been for maritime use, I’m not sure. Check out his commuting video on this channel it may have more useful information than me. Sorry I cannot be more helpful . Either way thanks for taking the time to comment. Stay safe and keep riding 👍🏻

    Your video is very good. Thanks for sharing. Was the frame touching the motorcycle's exhaust?

    • @GreenString

      Hi, yes I can confirm that parts of the frame do touch the exhaust. I believe it is made this way. If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask. Stay safe👍🏼

      @@GreenString Thank you so much for replying me back. I bought a Givi frame (my intention is to install a Givi GTR709 soft bag), and when they installed the frame it was touching the exhaust cover very hard. I ended up removing the frame because of this. I will try to re-install and adjust it so as not to dent the exhaust cover. If you have any tips, it would be really appreciated. Once again, thank you very much for the response.

      @@alessandrotorrescampos522 Your very welcome. Your not going to believe this but my friend, who owns the Africa Twin, is also about to buy the same Givi soft luggage as you for a trip to North Africa later this year. I’m planning on filming this in the coming weeks and eventually doing a full review once we have returned and have a more realistic view on how they have performed. Please feel free to give us any feed back you have over the coming months on your soft luggage as It will give a more rounded and honest opinion and hopefully assist fellow bikers in the future. Once again thanks for taking the time to comment it is appreciated 👍🏼

    looking at those , the racks look the same as the honda ones that came fitted to my bike. I hope so because the givi branded boxes are much cheaper than the honda ones

    So simple but still so brilliant told and shown how to do it....ahaha, I'm amazed. And the best part, you kan use the rear as a diving board when parked near a water ;-P I like the Honda more and more mate. Cheers

      Ha Ha “Diving Board” so true, brilliant 😂😂. His side cases are that big he can park his bike in them at night as well ( and they are lockable ). The bike is very, very nice. Not for me but still a nice bike, loaded with features. Any way how are you getting on with the Garmin basecamp Video? Im looking forward to that👍. Take care Thomas.

    Do you get seperate keys for the top box and panniers or they have the honda lock insert mechanism to use bike keys, like it comes with triumph?

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, no seperate keys for everybox. You can buy a lock / key set to make them all fit one key,. See my older video on Trekker Outback for the correct part number. Stay safe.

    Hi I am getting the Givi panniers for the AT too what is your configuration on the panniers I am guessing 48L and 37L. How stable is this configuration I am confused if I should get a 48L and 37L vs 37L on both sides.

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, you are correct on the video we have a 37/48L combo. The boxes are slightly wider than the handlebars. At speeds of 80+ mph they are still stable and do not interfere with the bikes handling. Personally I run with the 37/37 ltr set up on my GS... See some of my older videos for comparison, as I felt the 48L was overkill and is a big box. My mate with the AT loves the space it provides so, although this has not helped you at all, it is a personal choice. Whatever size you do opt for they are good panniers.

    • @myronhorvathsk
      @myronhorvathsk Před rokem +1

      I have the 48/37 litre set coming for my AT also. I like that because the back of the bike is almost totally symmetrical that way. I would go nuts I think looking att he back of it being about 3 inches different side to side otherwise. Lol

    I'm getting confused with all the parts that you have to buy, could you please list them?

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Leonardo. It's much simpler than you think as all the parts you need come together in the kit. For example: you own a Tenere 700. Order the Givi set for that bike and you will get all bits you need. There is nothing extra you need to buy. I hope this helps mate?

      @@GreenString apologies I forgot to mention I have the same bike as yours (CRF1100 AS 2020) I did some researches and I think I've worked it out, for example for side panniers you need PLO1178CAM + the cases, nothing else correct? Thanks for your time and good video. Cheers

      Hi just checked the Givi website. They refer only to the 20-21 standard Africa Twin which is the PLO1178CAM. I would contact GIVI or the retailer you intend to buy it from just to be sure.www.givi.de/fur-ihr-motorrad/product/honda/crf1100l-africa-twin-20--21/optionals/plo1178cam
