Its been a while since I posted a video showing off the print farm! But here we are. Currently sitting at 127 3D printers. I have come a long way since owning my first 3D printer 8 years ago. Crazy to think that I moved into this space a few months ago and it seems like I need more space! Come with me as I give a tour of the space and the printers we are using.

Great videos. I am starting 3d print farm because of your videos. Thank you!
Amazing let's go!
I made the mistake of buying too many printers at one I would start with an a1 min and a p1p both with the Ams
On your racks with printer you should slide them back to back. You don't have to get behind the printer often (could always just pull in out from the front) and by doing so you will greatly increase your floor space...for more printers of course 😁👍
Awesome videos - do you see yourself expanding again in the near future?
Hey hey don't tempt me now
Excellent video, would love to see more around the economics you are seeing. Things like how much your costs (or and example cost) would be vs how much you are selling for. Also, would love to see more about how you are advertising and marketing (Etsy, Shopify, etc)
Check out my other vlogs I talk about this
@@Dancyn3Dprints Will do! Im just breaking into 3D printing as a side hustle
Come a long way alright, keep up the videos, enjoy them. Is it your sole job now?
No not yet
Cool thanks, I have about another two weeks till I buy my own Bambu Lab A1 Combo. Waiting waiting. Laurie. NZ. 😊
Best value imo
Love these videos. Keep them up and coming! I started 3D printing myself around 3 years ago. It was purely a hobby. Then I started to look into selling products, but the issue I got (and I believe many others do) is shipping costs. Once I take into the account shipping costs, print time and material costs, then even the smallest products add up to costing upwards of $10 to make sense to print for selling. I would love to hear what's the expected print profit per hour (net) that you are aiming for when considering new products? If you don't want to reveal it, you don't have to. I just think that with 127 printers running you probably are more concerned about them being used 24/7 than aiming for a specific minimum net profit per hour.
The fact that I could not find a lot of products that made i reasonable for me to try to sell them was also the reason why I turned to offering my designs to other people rather than trying to sell physical versions of them. But now I want to add some more products to my "physical" product catalogue and I would love to hear your decision process and criteria for new products.
Disgusting
Amazing!!!
Just ran into you today and love your content! Congrats on your success. But would absolutely love to know how the Financials look like compared to working in corporate
I'll do a video on that. Can't give away all of the sauce
How I wish I could have a 3D printing farm like this in future. I just bought an A1 combo.
I started with a A1 mini a few months ago, and not a got 3(A1 mini, A1, p1S) little by little getting there 😂
Gotta start somewhere..
Thanks!
Welcome!
Why is it called Dancyn?
My name and my wife's name combines. Her name is cynthia. Mine dan.. dancyn
Hey man great video, love your print farm, so do you use only PLA filament? or do you use other kinds of filament, hope to hear from you.
Pretty much only pla
Hello it's very nice Printfarm wow 👌 lg Swiss 3d print
Thanks for watching
Do you do tours? I'd love to pop in and see the farm in person.
No I dont sorry
Awesome! Quick question, how much does it cost to lease a space like this? If not numbers then how much % of your revenue goes into the space? Thanks!!!
@@jeremy6199 space costs around 3k/month
@@Dancyn3Dprints was just wondering this. Thank you!
I had 6 going at one time and I thought that was plenty, couldn't imagine over 100.
It's mesmerizing
@@Dancyn3Dprints apparently I'm about to have at least 6 going again as we prepare for an event we also have people wanting bulk orders, yay us!
Appreciate the video as it gives great value to people interested in mass production printing. A few questions. I understand the selection of Bambu brand as I have only Bambu as well. What is your favorite out of the A1, P1P, P1S, and X1C? Last question, if cost is just a small concern, would you recommend multiple P1P, P1S, or X1C and why?
If you're primarily printer with pla and don't need multicolor. Then the p1p is the best. X1c if you have unlimited funds lol
X1c is my favorite
Thanks for another interesting video! I was curious, do you have any plans on building a separate office cubicle to prevent yourself and coworkers from noise and heat? I think some wall with windows will help a lot to bring some additional comfort to your daily hustle. Also it’s easier to cooldown or heat a small space for staff only instead of spending tons of costs maintaining main area climate.
Trust me when I say.. heat is not an issue, lol.. nah no plan currently
how many printers did you put on 1 breaker? curious because i wanna know how many i can plug into my wall without popping my breaker
@@joerizzo30 9 sometimes up to 12
I’m in the process of starting a 3d print business
Great I made a community for people just like you
Question about your UPS, they don't look 'huge' however they're obviously capable. How many VA are they?
1500 va, they are cyberpower UPS units I bought on amazon
Fyi BYD make a residential type battery system with their blade type batteries which I guess could support a print farm versus the multiple small battery UPS systems you use? I watched a local NZ ev car show video on this recently. Interviewing the BYD product manager from Aussie. Laurie. NZ.
BYD doesn't sell in the US. If he's renting the space, a UPS is probably the best he's gonna get for automatic fail over to battery
Yea BYD is not an option
All I want to know is what kind of shelving do you use to hold your machines?
Next video will have this info
hola, ¿ qué tipo de productos suele fabricar?, ¿cual tiene más demanda?
1 question... how do you manage the air quality in that room ?
Take a look at his previous 1 or 2 videos and he talks about it 👍
Gonna make a video about this
You've come a very long way, very impressive. Do you test for air quality ?
Not being nosy just curious, can you share your monthly electric bill for your business?
I have an air quality meter, 5 hepa filters, and just installed some exhaust
Thank you very much for your videos, they are very inspiring. What brand of filament do you use? I am having trouble finding the most suitable one for bamboo P1s.
I have a few of them linked in the description. These are the brands I use
When they open the garage door, does the airflow ever mess with the prints?
Not really
@@Dancyn3Dprints very cool. Love the setup.
What platform would you say nets you the best income. Your etsy. Amazon etc.....take into account the pain it takes to get all the bits done. Love your vids btw
Amazon
@Dancyn3Dprints but amazon don't do ads like etsy do they? How do you get seen on amazon so well?
I believe I have enough courage to finally quit my corporate job and start something similar to you! wish me luck
Good luck lol
Would you be able to take about the electrical set up a bit do you use extension cords or a UPS
I have a video about the electrical setup, check out my older video
Great Videos, I was wondering how you started selling.
Cosplay stuff
Do the power back ups run a shutdown process if the power goes out too long? I assume they cover a few minutes ok? I get power cuts here at 2am for a couple of minutes usually when the local lines company is doing maintenance etc. Thanks. Laurie. NZ.
Nah usually can run for maybe 10-15 min. It's not used for backup energy just in case there is a power blip
what size are the racks? Trying to decide what size of racks I need to get and yours look like they would work for me. any issue with the a1 ams lite mounted to the top of the printers? Thanks for the tour of your setup.
77inch muscle racks
Great video Ill get there one day. What did you do for your CPSC that tictok wants for toys. As you are the toy manufacturer what did you do for this how did you get past that?
If tiktok doesn't think it's a toy.. then it's not a toy
Have you ever considered using your failed prints to create a filament for the eggs?
Need a mold?
Yes there should be ready to use solutions on the market
Amazing video! I have 2 questions. 1, do you get the printers through MakerWorld points or actual money? 2, do you have any tips on new selllers?
Money.. I've reinvested money back into the business
@@Dancyn3Dprints Noted.
we need to make drones and spare parts.
@@vseznaushii lol
Did you ever own a a1 mini or is it too small
Never.. too small for me
Does the printers know when power is out and is running on the UPS? Curious how the printers stop the print when power is out.
Yes there is an internal batter on the ups unit that kicks on
How often do you have to lubricate?
Once in a blue
What UPS are you using? I've been trying to find one for my three printers that is somewhat affordable.
Cyberpower 1500 va.. bought it off amazon
Why do you have so many not running ? I dont mean that bad , I only have 9 but i try to have em going full tilt 24/7 ( If i was close id come work for you lol )
I took this video in the morning when I got to the farm so most of the printers weren't reset. Also if they are all on it very noisy
You get a discount on these or did you drop 70k? 😂😂😂 Excellent work regardless.
@matthewthompson7012 pretty much reinvested everything back into more printers
do you have link to where you buy bulk filaments?
I buy from alibaba
what type of revenue does a farm like tis produce annually
6 figs
Are you worried about getting lung cancer from the fumes?
We have venhilatiom and a ton of hepa filters. Our air is probably cleaner than yours at home
You should try the fumes at the metal factory I work at and they say it’s safe and it’s a lot worse than any 3d printing farms
Just an FYI, Uline is owned and operated by conservative mega-donors.
