Her kit is totally fine. Tbh.... Her Lore,... maybe doesnt fit the game but her kit is fine. 100 times better than overloaded champs like yone, aphelios, samira,... Seconds best champ this year after lilia. Followed by sett. All others should get removed gameplay whise.

Something Lillia's release made me realize is that League desperately needs more linguistic variety. Practically all of the champs speak boring, colourless, bog-standard (American) English. There are _so many_ accents and dialects in the English-speaking world that could give champions more character and I really don't understand why Riot isn't making use of that.

I'm guessing it's harder to market. Why go for something risky like a foreign accent when you can create something that people will (mostly) be happy with, are used to and is more generalisable. That's also why many of the champions are very attractive because their appearances are easier to market and skins will be sold much more easily than champions that are ugly.
Fiddlesticks reveal on this video was actually so well made. Loved every second of this video. Great stuff man.

Yeah, 100% agreed. My favorites are Aurelion Sol, Taliyah, Senna, Irelia and Pantheon. They're all amazing themes, and for completely different reasons, lol.

FINALLY! Someone who says monster champion rights.
Tahm Kench's release got me way more hyped than all of this year's champs combined. He was such an interesting and unique character, and when new champs used to come out it was exciting because we never knew what we were gonna get. Nowadays I know every champ is gonna be either a sexy anime girl, cutesy Disney character, or sexy shirtless dude, and it saps my interest tbh.
It reeks of corporate marketing. Now that League is expanding into new media and is becoming a household name, it is trying to cast the broadest net possible so it doesnt alienate anyone, and thats a bummer since that means they feel the need to play it super safe with their character designs. Legends of Runeterra has really picked up the slack though in terms of character design, so Im thankful for that at least.
Man, I just joined league last year and instantly fell in love with Tahm and ornn. Real shame the former's rework didn't go through, I'd love for my ganks to be more than casually waddling over...

I get your point and why your frustrated about the lack of monster champions, (and my favorite champions are monsters Bard and Ornn) but the sexy ones sell the most skins and basically keep further development alive.
And yeah, LoR is awesome in terms of character design. I’m just patiently waiting for Ixtal to be added even if they add it in 2022 or 2023 because the concept behind the region has soo much potential.

Plus, even if she did have that K/DA "ultimate" skin, it'd be hard to do any other type of skin idea when the character is just humanoid on board, coming from my perspective.
Seraphine is not even a real champ.
No? She pisses me off because she's pointless. I would rather have literally any other champion as a support when I'm bot, she's completely useless outside of that totally busted ultimate. Almost no CC, heals that take tectonic time to actually happen, and damage that rarely lands. What's there to like?
Lillia got me back in the game, and f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶d̶ made me want to learn the Jungler role. I enjoy her speed and general gameplay, but what really got me were her voicelines and the way she's animated, I could watch that walking cycle for hours and never get bored of it. She quickly became my favourite champion (sorry Twitch!) and I don't see that changing anytime soon. On a side note: I didn't know about the whole deal with monster champions, and I totally get ya'll, most of them are my favourite designs in the whole game. I just don't feel disappointed with Lillia because I don't see her that way. Hopefully we get more than 1 proper monster champion in the future.
On the rework side of things, OH BOY they nailed it with Fiddlesticks, the visuals, the lore, the voicelines AND the gameplay. More of this, please!
If you don't like jungle you can play her top or mid if you're daring, but take ghost. I play her top and the second I picked ghost for the first time she became inmediatly stronger, she's actually kind of absurd against anything that doesn't outrange you while still being (technically) fair.
This comment right here, I didn't play League for a long time untill I saw a video about Lilia voicelines, her sweet accent, anxiety filled voice lines and kind attitude made me get a new account in EUW and one trick this deer.
Lilia doesn't fit these people's expectations, but I'm happy with the way she turned out, not every monster needs to be a badass emotionless killing machine.
I really loved the designs of, uh, _most_ of the champions in this year, made me excited where league lore could go considering they're making separate games and an MMO based on that story (just please dont put a lore focus on _that_ champion). Gameplay wise hOO what an existential crisis, wanting to play something so fun yet not wanting to be seen as the broken champion abuser and making people mad.
As a "botlane" main, the scary part of seraphine (imo) is that is useful, simple and fun to play

After what they released with yone i expected league to continue to try and make their characters with that amount of quality, not content but just quality. Yet my dreams were shattered the minute "she whom shall not be named" was released

I really enjoyed the format of introducing each champion with their dedicated theme as well as how you went out of your way to find fan made animated splash art for each champion as well. I hope to see something similar to this next year.

Honestly as a Wukong main I was over the moon with his update. He actually became a viable champion with some fun mechanics.

Samira main here: She is what got me to play ADC for good. Whenever I played ADC, I felt like I had no impact on the game at all. Maybe I was just bad at it, or maybe ADC's have been getting shafted all year, but when Samira was released, it felt like a whole new experience. She playes completely differnet from any other marksman in the game, and it makes me excited for the future.

I'm glad you brought up Wukong. He's my favorite champion and played him a lot even before his rework. I'm also glad you mentioned his rework history.
This rework was so slapped together and while it is better than old Wu, it doesn't feel like a rework. His visuals are outdated. He doesn't feel like a rework like Voli or Fiddle. I hope one day they revisit Wukong and he gets at least an Ezreal level rework.
