- Hi folks Faye here , Shaun has been ill all week with the legendary man flu and the Hyosung was due to be collected and didn't wanna miss my opportunity to do my 1st legal solo motorway ride ... now i know for most of you that probably seems like no big deal but for me its the 1st stepping stone to me being able to cover the big miles that a european trip would entail so baby steps and all that . anyway big bike shopping this weekend so stay tuned for any developments .

You appear to do something most motorcycle vloggers do not… You are always looking around. Brilliant. I don’t think anything could sneak up on you without you knowing it is there. It’s a credit to both you and your instructors. Don’t stop looking and enjoy your future riding bikes with a bit more shove.

I can remember watching you both and you would always take a back seat in you're videos whith out saying anything just waving at the end. Another hurdle passed Faye you done the motorway rite of passage on a motorcycle now ,the world is your oyster .The 250 & 300 ‘s have enough poke to do the odd few sections of motorway ,just some of the overtakes take a bit more planning. Hope Shaun recovers from the dreaded man flu ,so you can both enjoy your chrimbo & a few good scoopa doopas as you do 🎄👍

Great to see you out on the 'BIG' bike. You'll learn from experience now but give the Trucks a wide berth, particularly on motorways and dual carriageways. They create a side draft that can easily suck a bike into them. Enjoy and I was glad to see you doing your life savers. Well done

Great stuff Faye.Definetly go for a bike you can flat foot on.It gives me more confidence and stability and control when manouvering from standstill.

Another uplifting video. I am sure you and Shaun are chopping at the bit to get to the bike shop to browse. These Chinese bikes do seem to be making their mark but I love my Yamaha Tracer 700 which I bought in June this year. Perhaps a Yamaha MT-07 might be worth a look at for you. All the best. John

Rider looking very confident and composed too. A bigger bike definitely helps, up to a point. Bikes should be light and manageable. If we are worried about the kilos it's too heavy. Manufacturers please note.

Had to ride my first big bike home on the M3 the day after I passed my test. It was raining and getting dark!!😱 Couldn't wait to get home! 🙏

Congrats on passing your bike test, I can imagine how chuffed you must feel. I passed mine 43 years ago am still biking if a little slower these days.
Small piece of advice if you don’t mind. Use your front brake as your primary brake, and your rear as secondary. In my experience it’s easier to lock up the rear than the front.
Sorry i always use the front as the primary brake as at speed the rear is useless what i meant was slow speed stuff as the 125s I've had have linked brakes ( just didn't come across like that on the vid ) my bad 👍🏍

Sorry but I'm an old duffer who passed the motorcycle test in 1980, I took my test on a Honda CB250N (Superdream) and as soon as I passed I bought a Triumph TR7RV (Tiger 750). My question is this, what are A1 and A2 motorcycle licences and what do they entitle you to ride? In my younger days there were only two ltypes of motorcycle licence, provisional and full. Thank you in advance.
Yeah it's an absolute minefield now David basically A1 is 125cc ... A2 is upto 48bhp ( or something like that ) and the A licence means u can ride anything .. that's after passing a cbt and theory

I like the look of the new 2022 BSA 650 Gold Star, I've put one of those on my to do list, I also like the new Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun, it looks like a "Bruiser Cruiser" with it's rugged styling and digital graphics. take your time learn to wring the neck of the small bike get your skills and technique sorted for all weathers all road surfaces, the legal document only covers the basics its probably below the standard needed for all the different weather conditions and road surfaces there are out there. without proper technique how do we communicate meaningful dialogue of how a bike is? have fun
