I’ve owned Gv250 and Gv650 and when everything worked on the bikes they were pretty fun to ride , HOWEVER... the moment the bike have slightest tiny problem it takes enormous amount of time to fix it, or you may never find the part or the solution. In USA HYOSUNG offers ZERO customer support to the owners and it’s pretty much impossible to find a mechanic that would be willing to work on these bikes. So for someone who would rather not spend a lot of $$$ but want to get something that more or less reliable I would suggest to go with Royal Enfield that surprisingly well built and covered by the great warranty with extensive dealer network. Ride safe everyone!

They used to do a 250 years ago ,that got imported into the U.K. before the days of Sinnis .I like the 250 - 400 size bikes ,they are more useful than people give them credit for .If you were to listen to the U.K. motorcycle media ,you would be led to believe you need large ccs & masses of Horse power to enjoy motorcycling or tour the globe .If the bike is as well built as the 125 it should be a gooden & plenty powerful for everyday real world use .What’s not to like nice one Mr Fish 👍

Great review. Having owned a Virago 535 in the past I like the mid controls. It looks good and goes well. It's encouraging to see the growth of the smaller capacity bikes and given their affordability hopefully it might wake up the big four to build some similar machines that are equally priced

I got warned off Hyosung because of electrical issues with them. So would not touch them with a forty foot barge pole.

I'm a wee bit biased; Honda made a 500cc V twin for the Ascot and Shadow back in the 80's. Really nice little motor. So I'd prefer a 500. Now, I do like what they did with the grips and they get the gold medal for the radiator. They did a really nice job with that.

I own a Hyosung GV250 from 2007, it was my first bike, the chrome work always sucked so I'm glad to see they gave up on that.
I like the look of my bike more and its only 1hp less than this wee beast.

I quite like it . Other than the " mind the gap" between the seat and tank . I run everything from a Honda Innova to a Honda 1520 Valkyrie and couple of odd ones in between . Sometimes a smaller bike is just the ticket . I quite often hack around on a Jawa 350. Perhaps being a v twin, it would be a worthy addition to my bike stable. Nice one Mr Fish 👍

Hi, After watching your reviews I bought a Honda 750 Intergra (couldn't justify extra £'s for a Forza), and I love it, the DCT gearbox is a revelation. Since seen reviews about the Honda VFR1200 XA Crossover in dca, and am seriously considering this bike. Seems to have everything that my GS700 had in bucketfulls, with the auto box that I crave. I don't want to do serious off road riding on my bikes, but the ability to handle a muddy field or sandy track (or even a snow laden road) is always a benefit, and it sounds as if this bike could also give me the joy I used to have on my Bandit 1200. If I thought it would tick all my boxes, I'd happily sign a PCP deal. Would be nice if you could review one and give feedback.

just been watching people doing the gv125 , and was impressed, but to have a bit more power , even better. the only thing i'd need to see is how light the clutch is. ( weak hands ), hence current bike being NC750 DCT. but have ridden the triumph street twin an really enjoyed that , very light clutch.

We have those here in Hong Kong, about £4,300 here. How would you compare this to something like the RE Meteor 350 or the Honda CB350 H’Ness? Kind of see them all in the same bracket, but don’t know which market has all 3! The U.K. has the RE and now the Hyosung, not the H’Ness! Here we only have the Hyosung, holding out hope for the H’Ness coming here next year! I want a retro bike or a cruiser that I don’t have to pay through the nose for!
