Fernando Precioso Did you just forget that the 2018 is a woman of color? Catriona is biracial. Her mom is Filipina and her dad is Scottish. She's a woman of color. People of color have been winning beauty pageants. Look at how many times India has won or the number of Latinas that have taken the crown? Those are all women of color. The top four countries with the most wins are literally non-white. Maybe your version of color is very narrow minded which is color = black. And that's just hypocritical.
No it doesn't... but be careful because the very thing that can be most visually stunning about a person is their complexion, and we don't want there to come a day where we cant admire and celebrate that. I can wait until Zozibini travels the world to show other countries the value of women and the untapped potential of minorities in their countries. South Africa knows how to train they won in 2017, 1st runner up in 2018, and won in 2019 with three different type of women which is a testament to South African women.

All my life I never actually paid attention to the fact that I was 'black' until I moved, because in Africa there's nothing like racism, we're all one, whether you're white, blue, black or yellow. We appreciate you for who you are!
Black people accomodate whites and asians more, compared to the way most white people do. Whites or Asians who have been to Africa or have come in contact with a Black person I believe can strongly testify to that.
It's not only in Africa blacks act nice towards whites or Asians, but everywhere in the world, we love and respect them, we don't judge them by the color of their skin.

Loved this interview with Cheslie, Zozibini, and Kaliegh! Hearing Zozi speak is so inspiring. So happy she won Miss Universe 2019. Her answers were amazing during the competition and her confidence shined throughout the entire Miss Universe broadcast. These wins are also quite monumental, especially the timing of what's happened, because Nia (Miss America) mentioned in her instagram story yesterday, that the Miss America 2020 competition was initially planned for September but due to structural changes in the Miss America Organization and now the competition being on NBC, her reign ended up being 3 months longer than it was supposed to be! She also mentioned that some Miss America reigns end up being much shorter than a year, but she was granted 15 months in her role. Glad that happened because now we have this historic moment with 4 women, even if it's only for less than two weeks! Wish Nia could've joined them for the interview, but she has to crown her next successor!
Seeing this video its such a subtle moment that it brings the tears to my eyes. Happiness all over.

For anyone thinking they got picked as winners because they are all black and won by playing the diversity card: in actuality, every single one of them had to stand out from the rest of their competition not just by beauty, but also brains, speaking ability, grace, integrity, and general x factor likability. It is not an intended pick. I saw every single competition, and I had my own different favorites who I wanted to win originally, but after watching I 100% agree with final picks. The first ever black competitor for the mis universe pageant that did made it to become first runner up was Anemarie Braafheid from the island of Curaçao back in the late 60's.
Back then it was miss Brazil who was crowned miss universe.

Also coloured isn't an ethnic slur, it's used as a racial classification on documentation in South Africa. If it was a racial slur, it wouldn't be used on such documentation.
