The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was formed 75 years ago.
Established in the aftermath of the Second World War, @NATO implemented the North Atlantic Treaty, signed in Washington, D.C., on April 4,1949, with Canada as one of 12 founding member nations. Canadian diplomat Lester B. Pearson was a key author and drafter of the treaty.
Today, NATO is 32 members strong with 30 European and 2 North American countries who are aligned with NATO’s purpose to guarantee the peace, freedom, and security of its members. 🤝

When we stopped major spending upon the navy about 1991, its been a downhill slide ever since in defence.
