- A non campers take on camping. What to really expect while camping. In my short time camping I have owned two campers an Intech Luna and Tab 400. It is not as glorious as you imagine…. A must watch for all those COVID campers.
Loved this! Great points here. And nothing we would argue against. Very refreshing to see a true review.
Thanks
@@MSGEngineering pppppppppp to
Love your channel by the way.
I totally could not stop laughing when I saw this video. The City slicker turned RV Camper. Your view point was real and refreshing. I wish for you on your camping adventures to get those epic spots you see in the movies and on CZcams.
I sold my camper last week:(. On to a bigger one:)
Hysterical video and I really appreciate your insight. I feel I’m like you and easily sucked into the marketing of these camper trailers. Lot to think about, appreciate the way you put it out there
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this.... It's all true...lol
-I love my teardrop but it's not for everyone
I came for the information but stayed for the laughs.😂 Good stuff! New subscriber...liked & shared!😁
Thanks!
You do NOT need a generator to boondock.
Did you like the camper .. looking at a 2020 Luna rover
Thanks for this reality check. Looking at the Nucamp 320 CS, but loved the look of the Luna Rover. I'll wait to see if the Covid campers decide to sell used. I see you got a bigger trailer now, and with kids, totally makes sense. I really like your sense of humor, and enjoyed this short take
Just in case you didn’t know, the Luna is the model with no bathroom. The other models in the inTech line have bathrooms. All the nuCamp TAB models have bathrooms. The nuCamp TAG models do not unless you don’t have the need for the bathroom. 😂
LOL, you are so right about all the information talked about. It never ends but in my mind it's all worth it. My camper is a 2019 Geo Pro, 12 feet long but I go solo, it works for me. I bet I have bought about 2k of what I thought I needed to camp, really didn't need all of it, lol. Take care and enjoy the great out doors.
"Why do ya think I'm takin' a walk?" still chuckling
There is not one thing about this video that isn’t true! And we do camp! We actually own an intech sol horizon, and can’t imagine fitting three people in that larger trailer. Thanks for such a humorous look at camping. It’s not for everyone, but it’s also not as perfect as many people lead you to believe.
So rare to get the straight dope. It can seemingly be a endless money pit is the take you rarely hear as opposed to this non stop embellishment of outdoor freedom and ecstasy. It has to be much like everything else in life that's worthwhile. Work through trial, error, experiences and thought. Hopefully ending up escaping to relax and enjoy something outside the culldesack. At the same time, these truths you've shared don't make sitting on the couch eating Taco Bell while watching Wheel Of Fortune sound any better either. You don't sound bitter or jaded. Rather, knowledgeable from first hand experience. Thanks for sharing your dead pan luke warm eruption of glee. Thoughtful truths
Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I recently purchased a used Airstream 16 footer. So even with all the not so great parts it is still a great break from “real” life.
The way to go is to buy a custom built trailer from a smaller manufacturer/owner who is on site and is personally invested and accessible. Mass produced teardrops are overpriced and have lower quality and you pay for a bunch of stuff you don’t need or use.
Thanks you saved me 30k.
You are correct 👍!
I hope you’re still enjoying your camper 😀.
Sold:). Have a Geo pro now
Thanks for the feedback…. Real close to getting the intech. Experienced tent camper with gear already… would use with the mrs …. For light 2-3 day excursions. I work from home so actually would be doing 1-2 times per month. I use a camping app that finds locations off the beaten path. I live in CA but found sites in Idaho, Yosemite, Nevada etc… we camped on a farm even! It is possible to just pack and go. Oh and the Intech Luna would fit in my garage…..
We just picked up our Luna Rover yesterday. Tracks great. Good looking rig, too. Pretty excited. One benefit is the small # of systems. No water heater, no furnace, very little plumbing. Just a very comfortable place to sleep, hang out, and use the cassette toilet when needed.
Congrats on your purchase! We got ours in March of 2022 and we love it. Fits nicely into our garage and easy to hookup and go! have fun!! @@herrp8765
the REAL truth is at 0:53
I was actually looking at both campers because they’re very similar. I’m just wondering why you sold the horizon and went with the 400?
It was a Luna, not a Horizon. The Luna didn’t have a bathroom. That was the main reason we sold.
@@MSGEngineering 😂 My bad! I definitely need the bathroom! I’m probably going with the 400 as well. The Horizon is beautiful but it is larger and heavier so I don’t think my vehicle will tow it. 🤦♀️
i think im gonna build my on camper that way it will be to my fiances and myselfs liking not what some body else decided was good for the masses also every camper ive looked at so far promotes utilization of space and sleeping capacity thats completely against the grain of what my fiance and i want we want a small camper but we want free space not 10 thousand cubby holes that we would never fully utilize
Agreed… but you need something
So do you regret buying a Tab 400? My family is considering the same unit. I plan to tow with a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Hemi V8.
No regrets. It is a solid camper. It’s just small. If you can get the sleeping situation covered, I would say go for it. The angle of the teardrop takes away 12 inches from the bed size. But quality wise it is much better then my current camper.
Few people are willing to tell the truth, this could be the thing that sets you apart, for that I subscribed.
It’s appreciated
Lol! 😁
Tru dat!
Trailers are great, if you don't have to turn around.
