Middle aged suburban EDC (Everyday carry)
This video shows my everyday carry or EDC. I do a review of the Champion Stealth Sling Bag from amazon. I also review the Leatherman Signal and the GPRC titanium carabiner. The items I review and show here in my opinion is the perfect EDC suburban carry. Tactical yet practical.

The truth behind teardrop trailer trailers (Intech vs Nucamp)
zhlédnutí 19KPřed 3 lety
A non campers take on camping. What to really expect while camping. In my short time camping I have owned two campers an Intech Luna and Tab 400. It is not as glorious as you imagine…. A must watch for all those COVID campers.
Easy glass table top repair using epoxy
zhlédnutí 133KPřed 3 lety
I had a few chips in my Vintage Knoll Barcelona coffee table. I repaired it using a general purpose epoxy. The fix isn’t perfect but it’s very presentable. I used System 3 general purpose epoxy. Be careful this stuff flows very nicely. The table top must be perfectly flat or you are going to have a mess on your hands. For vintage furniture including the Barcelona coffee table featured here, vis...

How to build a secret storage compartment - Coronavirus Edition In this video I take an off the shelf Knox Gun Lockbox and conceal it in the wall. I made it appear as if it was part of the HVAC system. Knox makes great lockboxes. I highly recommend them!!!
Vintage Bose 901 Series 1 Speakers Restoration, Set Up, and Test
zhlédnutí 24KPřed 4 lety
I found a pair of Bose Series I speakers from 1968. I went through a restoration including how to change out the grill cloth / cover. I also went through a real world test of the speakers. The proved to be able to move air very well. I was able to find a Series II equalizer that worked fine with the speakers.
Jeep Hardtop Hoist DIY Build and Topsy Hinge Hook Review

I built a hoist setup for my Jeep Wrangler hardtop. I used a hoist off of Amazon and a custom built frame. I also used Topsy Product's Hinge Hooks for the back of the hardtop. Good product, good finish, and worked as expected. Lol! 😁
Did you like the camper .. looking at a 2020 Luna rover
I love 901's, but hate your background "music".
Nice work. Wish I can hire you.
I'm repairing a mirror in the UK, what's the generic term for the polish you used
Thank you!!!! Going to try it out.
Us normal people can’t do this. Get real.
🤣🤣🤣
You showed about 1 second of a blurry after picture. If your technique didn’t produce good results, why post the video here????
The results were very passable. However the polishing process took some time.
i think im gonna build my on camper that way it will be to my fiances and myselfs liking not what some body else decided was good for the masses also every camper ive looked at so far promotes utilization of space and sleeping capacity thats completely against the grain of what my fiance and i want we want a small camper but we want free space not 10 thousand cubby holes that we would never fully utilize
Sub 👍
Will this work if the whole tip of the corner is broken off
Crossing my fingers you see this and reply even though it’s a 2 year old video... I have a vintage table top that had some similar chips. I have already filled the chips with epoxy but now I’m afraid to sand. Did you use just regular sand paper or something else? I’ve seen some people say that you have to use Diamond grit or silicon carbide sand paper on glass, but it looks like you used regular sand paper. I’m afraid of scratching up the glass and then not being able to polish it out. I especially don’t want to ruin it because it’s a beautiful vintage piece. Any advice? Thank you!
As long as you don't use ruff grit sandpaper you won't get yourself in to much trouble. Start with 1000 grit and work your way up to 1500 then 2000 and finish up with polishing compound like the stuff they use on automotive paint finishes.
So rare to get the straight dope. It can seemingly be a endless money pit is the take you rarely hear as opposed to this non stop embellishment of outdoor freedom and ecstasy. It has to be much like everything else in life that's worthwhile. Work through trial, error, experiences and thought. Hopefully ending up escaping to relax and enjoy something outside the culldesack. At the same time, these truths you've shared don't make sitting on the couch eating Taco Bell while watching Wheel Of Fortune sound any better either. You don't sound bitter or jaded. Rather, knowledgeable from first hand experience. Thanks for sharing your dead pan luke warm eruption of glee. Thoughtful truths
Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I recently purchased a used Airstream 16 footer. So even with all the not so great parts it is still a great break from “real” life.
I was actually looking at both campers because they’re very similar. I’m just wondering why you sold the horizon and went with the 400?
It was a Luna, not a Horizon. The Luna didn’t have a bathroom. That was the main reason we sold.
@@MSGEngineering 😂 My bad! I definitely need the bathroom! I’m probably going with the 400 as well. The Horizon is beautiful but it is larger and heavier so I don’t think my vehicle will tow it. 🤦♀️
Stupid music
Hysterical video and I really appreciate your insight. I feel I’m like you and easily sucked into the marketing of these camper trailers. Lot to think about, appreciate the way you put it out there
The way to go is to buy a custom built trailer from a smaller manufacturer/owner who is on site and is personally invested and accessible. Mass produced teardrops are overpriced and have lower quality and you pay for a bunch of stuff you don’t need or use.
We attempted to do this… scratch/haze around the epoxy- cannot get rid of it. We went back to 1,000 grit and still not working. Any suggestions? Loved your video! We kept saying “Rock Hard” throughout the work.
Are you using glass polishing compound? It does take a lot of elbow grease but the haze will shine up.
@@MSGEngineering YESSSSSSSS! Ohmygarsh it did! Thank you for your reply! Rock on Rock Hard! : )
I wonder if I could use this method to fill a chip in the side of my large fish tank the tank still has a seal it’s just like half of the glass that is chipped out I would have to build the corner like you maybe tape but I wonder if it would be better to use something Rigid to get that nice sharp corner….. I wonder what I could use maby a hard plastic and tape it on or seal it temporarily
I would not mess with fish tank stuff. Depending on their size, they have masssive amount of pressure on them from their contents, so if they fail at any point, the whole thing kind of bursts and breaks, contents everywhere.
"Why do ya think I'm takin' a walk?" still chuckling
Love your EDC!
series 1 and 2 are legends and better than the series afterwards.......... they were closed systems and used an eq. they did not have foam rims .. so they didn't rot too.
Where did you find that grill cover fabric?
DID YOU FIND IT?
Yep, sure did. Amazon to the rescue.
lol
How do I find someone in Los Angeles to fix the exact same chip that is on the video. Do you have email, phone number....
I don't think the glass looks any better 😄
I love the music!!!
... you can use a heart gun
I came for the information but stayed for the laughs.😂 Good stuff! New subscriber...liked & shared!😁
Thanks!
Your setup sucks! They're too close together!! And It's NOT Memorex.
If the Police finds it I will dislike the video
Ha
Can you do this for me? I'll be right over.
I hope you’re still enjoying your camper 😀.
Sold:). Have a Geo pro now
A shame Mahogany had to be cut. Wood is Really looking _Dreamy._ 4:03 - have to ask, What did you do with FEET? NICE Finish! I do hope you Created something that Stops others to Look. : } If still have them ... i'm interested.
I still have the feet. Haven’t found a use yet.
????????
There is not one thing about this video that isn’t true! And we do camp! We actually own an intech sol horizon, and can’t imagine fitting three people in that larger trailer. Thanks for such a humorous look at camping. It’s not for everyone, but it’s also not as perfect as many people lead you to believe.
Great stuff man!
This is great! Somebody had to make this!
You are correct 👍!
Thanks for this reality check. Looking at the Nucamp 320 CS, but loved the look of the Luna Rover. I'll wait to see if the Covid campers decide to sell used. I see you got a bigger trailer now, and with kids, totally makes sense. I really like your sense of humor, and enjoyed this short take
Just in case you didn’t know, the Luna is the model with no bathroom. The other models in the inTech line have bathrooms. All the nuCamp TAB models have bathrooms. The nuCamp TAG models do not unless you don’t have the need for the bathroom. 😂
lol awesome vid brother !
One of the best things I've ever watched! Subscribed.
MSG looking forward someone to do this repair to same table. Do you know of any company that does this work in Florida?
I do not… it’s not a bad diy. Give it a try.
@@MSGEngineering looks amazing but I’m not very experienced in DIY and don’t want to ruin the table. Thanks for the video, I may have to watch it about 1000xs to build confidence.
Won’t my husband be surprised to find out I have a hidden stash of………. I’m doing this for sure when he’s at work.
Thanks you saved me 30k.
Thank you very much
will they let you in the airport with your carabiner I wonder?
They blade is actually removable. Kinda a pain. But it is.
Thanks for the feedback…. Real close to getting the intech. Experienced tent camper with gear already… would use with the mrs …. For light 2-3 day excursions. I work from home so actually would be doing 1-2 times per month. I use a camping app that finds locations off the beaten path. I live in CA but found sites in Idaho, Yosemite, Nevada etc… we camped on a farm even! It is possible to just pack and go. Oh and the Intech Luna would fit in my garage…..
We just picked up our Luna Rover yesterday. Tracks great. Good looking rig, too. Pretty excited. One benefit is the small # of systems. No water heater, no furnace, very little plumbing. Just a very comfortable place to sleep, hang out, and use the cassette toilet when needed.
Congrats on your purchase! We got ours in March of 2022 and we love it. Fits nicely into our garage and easy to hookup and go! have fun!! @@herrp8765
