I think that was relatively new, in those days. Even one episode of “ReBoot” had cel-shaded graphics in one Game Cube game, and that was from around 2001.

The way I see it, since the whole thing takes place in a dream world (Maginaryworld,) it's possible for both versions of Sonic to be there.

I actually would like to see a sequel to this, or even one that crosses Sonic Shuffle with Mario Party in some ways. But, such a game would have AI who can’t see your cards, some mini games with longer time limits (especially “Stop and Go,” which always seemed to give you barely enough time to win) and even DLC with even more mini games.
I'd rather have a Skies of Arcadia sequel (or even a remaster, remake, or hell, even another port), but I second this.

Sonic shuffle is one of the most cooler game in Dreamcast. (my opinion.)
+Shyjinko BR 2 I'm in the minority of people who not only liked Shuffle, but want it to have a sequel and/or remake for modern consoles.
Fun fact about the first mini-game: It's actually possible for all 4 players to win, if none pick the shaken soda can, then they all continue on their way with Eggman visibly angry, and all players win 20 Rings.
..I had forgotten how much of a mixed bag these were.
like a lot of sonic games, its more fun toward the start.
Actually it was the ones at the start of the video I really didn't like. Hated the can one, and I never understood how the guitar one ever worked...
I do like the cel-shaded graphics of this game.
If Sega actually properly created this game right this could have been a series that could rival Mario's party games but sadly it failed,but if they do try to make another sonic party game hopefully they would learn from this mistake and carefully planned the controls,boards and minigames
+Knownsupersilver I want Shuffle to have a sequel with the same gameplay, but improved AI, new playable characters (Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Blaze, and Silver), and elements more in line with the Sonic franchise; the Chaos Emeralds could take the place of the Precioustones, the Badniks could take the place of the Precioustone Monsters, and the stages could be from the Sonic games, like Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and Casino Night.
This game was developed by Hudson Soft, the same developers as Mario Party.

It’s so odd that Sega got Hudson Soft to co-develop a rival to their own Mario Party series, the more I think about it the less sense it makes.

+Jesus Sandoval As someone who genuinely enjoyed Sonic Shuffle, I've seen worse party games. Nickelodeon Party Blast (PeanutButterGamer played that game, he easily won the food fight by barely having to do anything), and Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt (which has NO mini-games) in particular.
