  • St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador has been able to establish itself as a great destination for folks over the past few years. Hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world come to Canada every year, and more and more of them are coming to - and staying in - Atlantic Canada than ever before.
    Cities and towns on the east coast are working hard to raise their profile for prospective newcomers to Canada. Government, settlement agencies, employers, and many more stakeholders play a role in determining what is working and what isn't when it comes to creating and developing attraction and retention programs, but who better to chat with then the people who are choosing to come and create homes on our rocky shores?

      @@mark_royle_newfoundlandthe immigration consultant. Rather than give Newfoundlanders opportunities they are outsourcing our Country. That's who.

      @@HopeLaFleur1975 this video showcases 6 people who came to Newfoundland on their own free will. Some came as students and stayed. Some came to work and stayed. 4 of these people started their own businesses, which today are thriving. To date, they have created good, well-paying jobs for dozens of Newfoundlanders. The other 2 people are award winning musicians whose success take nothing away from other musicians. Their contributions to the Newfoundland music scene, and to Newfoundland's very culture, is incredible.

      And for your own benefit, please look up what "outsourcing" actually means, and who is actually responsible for it. It's genuinely good to be upset about outsourcing (even if what the folks in this video do has nothing to do with outsourcing), but when you blame immigrants for outsourcing, the people who are actually responsible sit back and laugh because they are getting off scot-free while people like you kick down on folks that you perceive to be under you.

    How's the tech/startup ecosystem of NL?

    • @mark_royle_newfoundland
      @mark_royle_newfoundland  Před 9 měsíci

      It’s actually very good, and getting better. Tech is becoming one of the pillars of the economy, and the startup environment in general is amazing right now. We’re a small province but we’re punching WAY above our weight!

    can you please tell me that is getting PR is easier in newfoundland aur not cause when i got to know about newfoundland from different source including you too i found that it can be best place to live in

      Hi, thank you for watching. It's not necessarily easier, but there are PNP pathways specific to Newfoundland and Labrador, or programs like the AIP which only applies to the 4 Atlantic provinces. So in that sense it it easier because there are more ways to apply/qualify for PR

    Corner Brook is nicer than St Johns because the west coast has more to do and it's safer.
