Really good video. I wish i saw this before I planned my recent trip there... while I found out most of what you said here... It took me sooo many hours to piece everything you said here into a few minutes. We (me and my son) flew in from Orlando, FL into St. Johns for 5 nights/6 days. So we had a very short trip, and decided to just do the east coast as to not loose that much time driving. Our stops were: St. Johns, Quidi Vidi (signal hill included here), Petty Harbor (aquarium and Chafe's), Bay Bulls (whale and puffin boat tour), Cape Spear, Ferryland (for a dinner show), and as far south as Mistaken Point (the UNESCO site was awesome!). So we were VERY busy. We did actually have a little time our last evening on the island... so drove to conception habor for the shipwreck! We also saw some cool scenery and a small train museum along the way. I would love to go back in the next few years, and make a longer trip to get more inland and see some of the other spots. One thing that no one seemed to mention along everything is how rare a gas station is! We are used to seeing them almost every 5 minutes here... Keep posting videos, and if you want a Floridians input on anything, i am happy to help!

The videos you've shared are visually amazing and I've really appreciated learning about Newfoundland from someone who lives there vs. someone who is passing through as a tourist. Thanks, as well, for sharing videos of areas of Newfoundland which aren't typically promoted as major tourist spots, so that outsiders can get a better appreciation of the Province as a whole. You're doing a great job with your channel and I've enjoyed seeing the progression in your content. I'm not a content provider, so i don't know how difficult it would be to add chapters to your longer videos, but (from my perspective) I believe that it would be one way that I'd possibly get more enjoyment out of them (as a viewer). It'd definately make it easier for me to share your amazing content for specific areas when introducing your videos to friends and family. Is adding chapters to your longer videos something you'd consider?

Can you tell me what the rent is like in corner brook? I’m a CZcamsr. And I want to live and work with other creators. Thank you.

my mouth is watering... having spent a few summers there as a kid and enjoying kid things, now im grown up and i would love to go back and experience the island as an adult. i live in the states and down here fish and chips would make a person vomit, its all catfish from the mississippi and it just doesnt compare to coldwater fish. your lucky if a restaurant has malt vinegar. nfld is definately on my bucket list. thanks.

Still no suggestions from people who know Twillingate for places to eat in off season. I was there in May 2023 and there were many places open, but I would love to go between Dec. and April.

Hi! You mentioned Brigus and how that restaurant closed down….WELLL… it’s opened again!!! It’s called E&E Drive In and it opened it’s door again about 2 weeks ago with long line ups. Lol. Is it the best fish and chips? Well, that’s up for debate - you either love it, or you hate it. The same batter is used for fish, chicken, and they’re famous onion rings. If you’re expecting light, flaky batter, you won’t get it here. The batter is thick, heavy and garlicky, in my opinion oh, so good! However, I must say that it is way too heavy for the fish. That is the consensus around here (I live in Brigus and grew up on it. Lol) If you want to have the E & E (AKA “Ernie’s”) experience, best to have their chicken or onion rings. But don’t let that stop you from trying to fish just the same! Would love to know what you thought - please come and review!

I've lived in Newfoundland for two years now, but I've had to work on Regatta Day both years. I'd really like to go, even just once. I don't love crowds, but I think it's important to check things out for myself before I decide if I won't like it lol Fingers crossed for next year :)

Awesome congratulations on hitting the milestone. Just a thought for a possible future video......we are considering retirement in Newfoundland (currently live in Ontario) and wondering how the Newfoundland people feel about "outsiders" moving into their towns?

Congrats on the 5 K Mark. It hasn't happen many times but it has happened where someone has come up and recognized me from CZcams and I'm not to the 1 K mark yet LOL, and I can't lie it does feel good , and somewhat rewarding that someone is interested in what I'm doing and they take the time to watch and it did a little enjoyment for them. That's where I am as long as I'm HAVEING FUN with it then I'll keep going along, have a great week my buddy.

I became interested in going to Newfoundland years ago but it was only a few months ago your videos appeared on my CZcams - and they inspired my wife and I to book a flight and visit at last. Hi Mark. We live in Dartmouth Nova Scotia but are from southern Ontario. We left in 2021 and have lived in Charlottetown, Montague, and Summerside in PEI. Three actual moves there. Then we moved to Saint John in New Brunswick. Didn't stay there long and ended up in Dartmouth. We were actually big on St. John's but haven't even been out for a look yet. Many things have transpired that have shown us that we still have yet to find a home, and it's got nothing to do with unfriendliness of people in the east, or the weather. By watching channels like yours and reading everything we can get our hands on...we still feel like St. John's is a distinct possibility for us. She is in healthcare and I am semi-retired. I'd work a solid job if it was something that interested me. Anyways, we know we should come visit before just up and moving to a rental. I say rental cos we would do that for at least a year before buying. I value your channel. I don't know if CZcams is a reasonable way to make your living from. You tell me. Any advice about us moving or trying out St. John's is welcome. You can see my little channel, I tinker but would like to become more serious about it. I lack a focal point and I don't share myself which is probably why I see no growth. I mean I turn 54 tomorrow so I feel insignificant. Get vulnerable or don't right? Whatever you do, my opinion anyways, regarding your channel, don't give up. Cheers bud.
