  • Parchment + Aluminum foil wrapped Ribs...I honestly believe it is the best method for ribs no matter what oven your using... I've done ribs many ways... and for ribs being cooked in an oven nothing comes close IMHO... the parchment helps form a near air tight sealed environment for the seasoning and the pork fat to baste, tenderize and steam the rib meat... and the aluminum foil adds a outer shell that crimps and holds the parchment in place... I also think the parchment keeps the salts and seasoning off of the aluminum foil which i feel have a slight reaction with each other when left in contact for hours at high temps... the Killer Hogs BBQ Rub has an excellent flavor as does the New Belgium Fat Tire Ale BBQ Sauce... the Voodoo Ranger also has a great flavor but it was considerably too hot for my likings... however... please try this method and post your experience and what you thought of the tenderness of these ribs in the comments... jelly loves y'all all!!! and thank you for stopping by!!!

    Hey John really good video! There is another method for doing them in an oven that Chef Robert Irvine of The Food Network does, he seasons them then wraps them in Plastic Wrap then in Foil and cooks them the same method you just did. And for people wondering No the Plastic Wrap does not stick or melt while it is cooking. I wish you would try it because the end result is some of the best Ribs you ever tasted!!

    Going to give this a good try tonight to see how it turns out. Not using the same air fryer unit though, but the technique and time & temp should be the same. Removing that skin was not near as easy as you made it look though. The one with the probe is the DT251 but the fact is it having a screen or not is not specific to model... some early ones have it...I think...lol... ninja has not explained it as far as I know...thanks for watching!!!

    • @shoushanab.7433
      @shoushanab.7433 Před 3 lety +1

      The model with the temp probe only sales on Amazon I believe and it’s going for $299. If you don’t mind not having the temp probe you can get the 10 in 1 for $238.78 right now on Amazon. Ninja Kitchen has the model without the temp probe for $239.99 on their website. If you have a Kohl’s credit card you can get the non probe model for $222.59 after a 30% off coupon, but you have to use your Kohl’s credit card.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  Před 3 lety +1

      I would do it work exact temp and times... but as i always recommend... check temps with an instant read when you remove them... but I recommend doing that even if you do the exact settings, times and temps I use...I don't think there is enough difference in these 2 settings to have an effect as it is only a slight fan speed difference...

    • @JohnSanders

      It might be a little over kill but I'm not crazy about salts and other seasonings directly contacting the aluminum due to chemical reactions etc... that being said I don't always add the parchment paper...thanks for watching!!!
