- This is a Tracker Grizzly 1754 jon boat that I converted into a jet boat, using a Sea-doo RXT 215Hp super charged as the donor. I will post another video with pictures of the construction.

This is really cool idea and definitely executed super fantastically lol. But I gotta just point out that with a jet drive it literally takes 200hp to make a relatively small aluminum boat go 55mph. You could probably get that out of 90hp outboard. But then again you’d rip it off first time out in a river like that lol.

Looksgreat! I own a company that builds large computer controlled ice vending towers,so we are always building side projects. I am currently building a 16.5 ft from scratch jet jon with a 4 ft.bottom and 6 ft. total width. We are using a punched out 1200 power valve yamy(1390 now) with extensive mods. We have a Seadoo with the 215 Rotax,but decided to go with the 2 stroke for weight and simplicity reasons. The boat we are building is flat from the back to halfway up its length,but has considerably more "V" in the front half than you Tracker as we will be using it to cross saltwater sounds here in coastal South Carolina. We will also be fishing in very shallow bays and freshwater rivers. Boat will have Lenco Tabs and a closed cell foam self bailing floor made from the same cellular PVC sheets we use in our Icehouse Towers. Side console, steering wheel, fish finder and tig welded 30 gallon fuel tank under the floor. I have a close friend helping me who has built several jet boats already. Did you attach the Crown Plastics UHMW to the bottom of your current boat? We considered it, but the amount of "V" in our design makes it nearly impossible. How fast is this one? I will stay in touch.

#1 on the life jackets. There were a couple spots that at that speed I guarantee you didn't see the rocks and lucked out on just squeezing by
