- The Oyston family have had a controlling stake in Blackpool FC for nearly 30 years, overseeing the club's rise from the Fourth Division to the Premier League and their rapid descent back again. The Oystons are antagonistic and highly litigious, taking several fans to court for message board posts using libel laws. The Blackpool Supporters' Trust is one of the organisations set up with the aim of dislodging the Oystons by any means necessary. We speak to several of their senior members about their efforts.

Very informative, I just watched the play off final (congratulations Blackpool supporters) and wondered where all the fans were.

Well, we won't see you at Wembley since we will be boycotting the playoff final if we get there since a portion of the ticket money will go to the Oystons.

Pretty sad person here. Although we dislike each other the rivalry we have had for 50 odd years is one of the things that makes football special. I'd never hope for Preston fans to go through the shit we've faced.

They are stripping the money from the club, not investing in talent, and now look where we are... it'll get to the point where we have so little talent that we won't be a league club anymore, and if you're a true Blackpool fan you should realise how devastating that'd be. I have zero interest in the boycotts. As I said, I support the team and the club and what will be will be. Yes look where we are in the lower levels with a play off final and it was done without you and others like you.
