The claims here are spurious. I love men, and happily develop loving and caring relationships on equal terms, enjoy the shared responsibility of child rearing with my ex-partners (who I also support emotionally in their current relationships, and have that support reciprocated) as well as caring for the offspring of other women and men in the friendship circles I enjoy. I am also a feminist. I do not "need" a man for the well being of my self esteem or sense of self, but I want men, and love men. I also respect that the state, if it is going to take my taxes, must provide services that contribute to the well-being of it's members, and some of it's members are single parents. Supporting a mother, or a father, is supporting the children of those parents. Please, people, a little less hate, a little more consideration of the issues as nuanced and complex.

Anyone that says they don't need a man, or don't need a woman has obviously been burned in the past. I know I have and it is the very reason I opted out 15 years ago. In 15 years I have yet to meet a woman who I would consider worth it. Then again the pendulum swings both ways. My grandmother, just as an example, grew up in an age with nothing but John Wayne assholes who believed a woman's place was in the kitchen and was beat by 2 of her 3 husbands. One time so bad she was put in the hospital. It is usually the nice guys or good women that opt out mainly b/c they are tired of being physically and verbally abused by their significant others. I don't mind telling my story b/c the accusations against me are simply not true. I was accused by my own g/f of being abusive and thus thrown in jail for it, but you see, the consequences of a man being called abusive are much much different. I lost all of my friends, part of my family, and my life was never the same after this little event. Of course a week later I found her at my best friends house. So you can all imagine why?

SilentMott Public restrooms for men are NOT male only anymore. Some cities, notably Houston, have made it law that 'transgendered' can use any public restroom they choose - except women's. Therefore, females who believe they are men (for the day anyway) can use a public men's restroom, but Caitlin Jenner can not use a public women's restroom - in Houston anyway.

She is now living with another man, who is a little bit ahead of the game then I am. He should be. He's 30 years older than me. I worry about my two sons, 9 and 7 years old, constantly. I love men, and happily develop loving and caring relationships on equal terms, enjoy the shared responsibility of child rearing with my ex-partners (who I also support emotionally in their current relationships, and have that support reciprocated) as well as caring for the offspring of other women and men in the friendship circles I enjoy.
I am also a feminist.
I do not "need" a man for the well being of my self esteem or sense of self, but I want men, and love men.
I also respect that the state, if it is going to take my taxes, must provide services that contribute to the well-being of it's members, and some of it's members are single parents. Supporting a mother, or a father, is supporting the children of those parents.

So why do people generally agree that women have an advantage in the dating scene?
I believe it is because if biology. Male hormones cause them to seek dating more aggressively. This is because the reproduction process has very little cost to males, so they can afford to initiate it without damaging themselves. The cost for reproduction is very high for women, so they have a built-in mechanism to restrict access to their bodies for all but the highest-quality males. This tips the supply and demand out of balance.

Anyone that says they don't need a man, or don't need a woman has obviously been burned in the past. I know I have and it is the very reason I opted out 15 years ago. In 15 years I have yet to meet a woman who I would consider worth it. Then again the pendulum swings both ways. My grandmother, just as an example, grew up in an age with nothing but John Wayne assholes who believed a woman's place was in the kitchen and was beat by 2 of her 3 husbands. One time so bad she was put in the hospital. It is usually the nice guys or good women that opt out mainly b/c they are tired of being physically and verbally abused by their significant others.
I don't mind telling my story b/c the accusations against me are simply not true. I was accused by my own g/f of being abusive and thus thrown in jail for it, but you see, the consequences of a man being called abusive are much much different. I lost all of my friends, part of my family, and my life was never the same after this little event. Of course a week later I found her at my best friends house. So you can all imagine why?

I now have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. 2 children that won't talk to me but that has a lot to do with their minds being poisoned by family members which is part of the reason that marriage didn't last. One year ago this month child support stopped taking half my check. Just yesterday I got my first amount of money that wasn't needed to pay a debt that I could just do what ever with. I am so scared to spend it, it's still just sitting there.

I'd cry, but I've been brought up to carry on, and shoulder the task, despite being divorced, and having my sons ripped away from me, all of my work destroyed, and my assets seized because my ex became listless. Her mother is a feminist, who coached her into leaving me, which utterly destroyed my family. I caught this woman beating my 2 year old son mercilessly in her house. All because my tiny toddler son broke one of her porcelain dolls she left out. My mother-in-law never apologized, and her daughter, my ex wife, never addressed the issue at all, despite being asked to confront her mother. I lost everything, and had to start all over again at 38 years old, after building a very profitable business. All gone. My ex wife became one of these bitter women who you talk about. I rarely get to see my sons. Predictably, she used, and still uses them constantly as leverage to bilk even more money out of me, hiding them from me when I can't or won't pay. She is now living with another man, who is a little bit ahead of the game then I am. He should be. He's 30 years older than me. I worry about my two sons, 9 and 7 years old, constantly. Thank you for your work. I hope you, or anyone at all can read this.
