On first listen Lord Huron has produced another classic. In many of their songs Lord Huron often explores how temporary and small we are yet still fighting for something, even a dream. I low-key want Lord Huron to become more known since they deserve it so much, but at the same time, I want to keep them where they are so they don't have to take a turn for the worst since that's what mainstream seems to do with bands/musical artists (i.e Twenty One Pilots, though they have a style different from Lord Huron). Anyways, I absolutely love Lord Huron. I've loved them since Strange Trails, though I wish I had found them a lot sooner. They've been a huge inspiration for some of my more naturalistic or stylized art. Keep up the good work guys!
TOP hasn't changed for the bad imo. Besides, Lord Huron is not unknown at all. I wouldn't worry too much about bad mainstream influence. Just think of alt-J, still doing whatever the fuck they want. Though I rather connect them with Arcade Fire whose new stuff I'm not really fond of. That's not due to mainstream though, but because they simply evolved as a whole. Which is totally okay, but I think far too often connected with "they gotten too famous".

I was never interested in seeing bands live until Lord Huron, and it kills me how expensive the tickets are. I'd love to see them live. Honestly though, I'm just glad I found them! I haven't listened to a single song I dislike, and there's something about the way they orchestrate the lyrics with the instrumental parts (I have little musical knowledge so excuse the lackluster wording) that has such an impact on the overall feeling of each song.. it gets me every time. It's kinda cliché to say, but there's a lot of meaning in LH's music, and I always leave their songs feeling refreshed and wondering about what that meaning is, or alternatively about the symbolism I see in the lyrics. It's all very romantic to me and just a tad somber; perfect for me. :) I hope they enjoy their tour!
I saw them in February and trust me when I say it was worth every penny. I have been to hundreds of concerts and these guys are on a whole other level. They were even better than mumford and sons

I was never interested in seeing bands live until Lord Huron, and it kills me how expensive the tickets are. I'd love to see them live. Honestly though, I'm just glad I found them! I haven't listened to a single song I dislike, and there's something about the way they orchestrate the lyrics with the instrumental parts (I have little musical knowledge so excuse the lackluster wording) that has such an impact on the overall feeling of each song.. it gets me every time. It's kinda cliché to say, but there's a lot of meaning in LH's music, and I always leave their songs feeling refreshed and wondering about what that meaning is, or alternatively about the symbolism I see in the lyrics. It's all very romantic to me and just a tad somber; perfect for me. :) I hope they enjoy their tour!

Discovered LH after TCM used this as the music for their 2018 "Remembers..." feature. Nothing else has this combination of calm, soothing melody and heart-rending lyrics, and each line expresses the pain I felt losing someone I loved to mental illness. By the stars above, I know we were in love...
