Yes. I have no idea what Replika is. I first heard this song after hearing Oats In The Water. They are two very different songs by one very talented artist. While OITW is somber and foreboding, Conrad is hopeful and pleasant. I imagine it as an early morning song. Beautiful melody.

When I finally found it, I had this tingling feeling inside of me that made me feel SO happy. Turns out, Ben Howard's entire album was streaming live on BBC Radio 1. This song means a lot to us. I'm so glad I finally found it. Such a beautiful song. :)

This song is about how after breaking up with his lover, Ben realizes that although they didn’t last, he definitely taught him a lot and that in turn helped him deal with his depression. Alludes to Joseph Conrad’s 1900 novel Lord Jim. The book begins with the abandonment of the Patna, a ship full of pilgrims traveling to Mecca for the Hajj. In that sense we see Ben’s lover as the boat that carried him across to enlightenment.
