- This week we head to Fort De Soto campground where the mosquitos were unbelievable!!!! Could not step outside without getting attacked and having them get inside the Rv!!! We spent most of the time hold up in the Rv with exception of going to the dog beach and out to dinner Saturday night. We usually have nothing but great things to say about this place but dang the bugs were bad this time!
Looks like an interesting layout at the campground. Trees everywhere. Hands down my favorite part on this video is the Italian food. OMGOSH that looked good.
The food was awesome! Leftovers were pretty good the next day as well! 😉
It’s a beautiful campground just sucked the mosquitos were sucking so bad too! 😂
When I had my cruiser I kept it on the Chesapeake Bay where there was very little sand. It was basically lawn down to the water and docks. I still will camp at the beach a couple times a year but mostly I head towards the mountains. We had pesky mosquitoes all through Canada on our summer trip. They are everywhere.
Mosquitos have been bad this year here in general too no I think about it.
OMG that dinner looked incredible. Can’t wait to eat there someday.
I do love Italian food!!
Love the secluded look of the campground but the mosquitoes would surely dampen the fun a tad. Love all the unique places that you all travel to. 👍
Fort de Soto is awesome but holy cow were the bugs bad last time!!! Thanks!!! 😁
I believe the campground placard for your windshield gets you beach parking too.
Hurricane Idalia flooded Fort DeSoto and the result is mosquitoes. I was there Sept. 11th and they were still cleaning up.
Oh wow! Good to know. I guess we should have asked when checking in if we had to pay. Yeah I heard that the hurricane did make the mosquitos worse. Hopefully it gets better soon! Love that park.
We like the park but unfortunately we can’t never get any spots with our pets, we do enjoy the beach and fortunately we only live 40 minutes from the park. It’s great to see videos and to see lots of the Florida parks from you guys.
See you guys on the next video, good luck and be safe and specially coming across these B52 mosquitoes.
Try using wanderinglabs to grab a spot! that's how we get the pet sites. Hope that helps you.
Great park, bugs were bad when we were there.
I’ve heard that the bugs have become an issue there. Sad. 😢
Nikki is special lol😂
I recently retired and Fort Desoto is on our list. Just returned from Wisconsin with a new Teardrop. Still have our Escape 21C. Don’t judge me as we aren’t married! 😂
Fort de Soto is usually awesome. But the mosquitos were INSANE this time
couldn't you just put the awning out a few inches and use the light? We really liked when we were at fort desoto a few years back. We'd love to revisit sometime. we enjoyed the dog beach too
No unfortunately the lights are rolled up in the bar that the awning wraps around.
@@AlliChuckAdventures ah that stinks. Our awning lights are on the RV and we also have a flood light by the door that's pretty bright
@WanderingWagners yeah we have the flood light at least! It’s bright!!!
As a resident of the Tampa Bay area I’ve pretty much given up on camping at Fort Desoto after September. Years ago, we would tent camp on Shell Key there at Bunces Pass.
Because of bugs? or just snowbirds?
@@AlliChuckAdventures just getting reservations
Try wanderinglabs. Thats how we find cancellations
Way fewer mosquitos in north Georgia and they of course have schools top work at too.
Just got back from Vogel! Love north Georgia!
Those creep shots. 😂
Haha
THATS DISTRACTION DRIVING HOSS YOUR GONNA RECK THE CAMPER GOBBLESS
Prob right! 😀
That’s illegal in Warshington too, but meth isn’t. Weird.

No dogs allowed on the beach. 😡
It’s a dog beach!!!
@@AlliChuckAdventurespfft. Yeah right. So explain all the humans there. Yeah, that’s what I thought. Checkmate.
