Hello from Swansea, Illinois. I thank you for sharing this because I need to know about Knit Companion and how it works.

I have Apple products so not sure if Android has something similar but you can also use Air Drop between devices and it is much faster for me.

Would this work for syncing projects on a Mac laptop and an iPad? Or does it not matter, as long as you're signed into the same Dropbox account?

So does it automatically sync if you change the page in your pattern to the same place on your other device or do you have to keep changing that and updating it yourself?. And does it have to be dropbox can it be Google documents or Google Drive??

I do not use Dropbox! How does it work with Google Drive? Also my patterns also do not sync between my devices! I have the same knitter name on all of them...... it is not working. :(

Nice idea, but no way to load the patterns on my phone. Don't want to for another app-Air Drop.

This is how I did it before I saw the iCloud “button” in the settings. The only problem is that sometimes it needs to sync when I’m out, and the project won’t open. I can’t figure out why.

Hmm...my guess is that issue has more to do with your internet connection when you're out of WiFi range. I'd test it out when you're in WiFi to see if you have the same problem opening the project.

I have a newer iPhone, but this app NEVER works correctly for me.

You might want to uninstall/reinstall the app - what you're experiencing is not normal.
